Bachelorette 19 - Gabby Windey - Rachel Recchia - F1-F6 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Honestly, my biggest problem with Jason being F1 from an editing point of view is how hidden he has been the whole season. I can't shake the feeling that there is something we're missing. Plus they're not showing their love story.

The one thing about the edit though is it has totally changed I think since Elan left + with the two bachelorettes I think it’s been kind of thrown in the air.

I would not be shocked if either Jason or Erich are F1, I really don’t think either have gotten an traditional F1 edit. Like Erich limo entrance was bizarre for a F1.

What gives me pause for RS spoilers is the SH timelines, especially that mid July one that the Reddit poster sleuthed took be mid July. Yet Erich said he was on the east coast all July per Cb interview and his IG activities support that..

Oh I agree that it is odd that they didn't show Erich's limo entrance. But they didn't show any one on one moment between Gabby and Jason during the first night and that is odd too. Plus the only conversations we've seen between them were on his 1:1 date and HTD, and there was no conversation after she met his family. Usually they show the F1 and the lead having little moments every episode to remind us of the connection. I feel that's what they've been doing with Erich. They've shown more of Gabby's connection with Erich than with Jason.

As for the SHV, I don't know. Erich could be lying, they could be using latergrams. All I'm saying is Jason's edit is far from a typical F1 edit.

Jason’s edit has been strange. If he didn’t have a 1:1 & HTD you’d barely get who he is. He’s quiet & no drama so he doesn’t garner any extra camera time. I do believe they just haven’t shown a lot of his time with Gabby. Not sure why.

I just rewatched all the Erich and Jason moments on the Gabby Dingbat Instagram page. Outside of their 1:1 and HTD, there were no conversations shown between Gabby and Jason. There was a quick kiss on E5 at the cocktail party that I didn't remember.

On rewatch, Erich's 1:1 wasn't that bad. There was that weirdly edited moment when Gabby got emotional because of her mom, but the rest was pretty good. I think people I've been forgetting the conversation they had about relationships and how Erich was supportive of Gabby after her meltdown, and focusing too much on his reaction when she got up.

IMO, Erich is getting a typical F1 edit (except for his limo entrance not being shown - they still showed him talking to G&R): conversation on night one, a good 1:1, conversations/kisses every episode to remind us of the connection (except E6 but there was no cocktail party and I guess they wanted to keep him declaring his feelings for HT), jealousy and questioning things when he didn't get a group date rose, plus a declaration of falling in love at his HTD. It's exactly how they've been editing Tino (except for the family dynamics at HTD).

I'm still sleuthing too, but I interpreted things in the Glamour article differently than you. For me Gabby saying that Erich was a rock and always came back no matter how she beat him down was significant, after she mentioned in another article that we would see who would fight for love and the emphasis on not giving up ever in his HTD. He mentioned something like that on his 1:1 too, so that seems to be a running theme for them.

I guess I don't put much stock in "following the feet" as I should. But last year everyone dismissed Susie because they thought there were no SHVs. But I knew she was F1 after the shopping date.

As for there not being any suspense, everyone knows Rachel is choosing Tino. I think there will be drama at FS, and it will be more about how they overcome challenges and fight for each other to get to the engagement part.

It's fun discussing with people who have different views and trying to understand how they come to their conclusions. No hard feelings.

@patri1610 You make strong compelling arguments that Erich is F1.  

This season is so different from usual. We have 2x the number of leads, 2x the number of F1’s, F2s, and F3s and at least 1 Bachelor candidate who didn’t make it to hometowns (Nate) so he had to have all his time pushed to the pre-HTDs episodes, and to date we have had 2 less hours than a regular season (usually HTDs are episode 8, but this season they were episode 7).  So far this season we have 9 people (2 leads + 6 F3s + Nate) spread over 14 hours, where in a normal season we have 5 people (1 lead + the F4 from which the Bachelor is usually selected) spread over 16 hours.  Add to this an editing team that is addicted to prioritizing drama in early episodes over love stories (Michael, Jacob, Hayden and Logan this season) and a potential F1 (Jason) who was so uncomfortable in the first 7-10 days that he considered leaving.  And there has been speculation (not sure if Bachelor Data has analyzed this) that the show has featured more time on Rachel’s story than Gabby’s.  

I’ve given up on looking at the editing this season through the same lens as usual for the above reasons, because I cannot figure out how you would give the F3 for each lead the same time/story development as a regular season, with 2 less hours to boot.

One thing I suspect did happen is that producers arranged for Jason and Gabby to spend time together behind the scenes, because if they didn’t, I’m not sure what would have motivated him to stay given how uncomfortable the environment was for him. The contract doesn’t require contestants to stay, so if he didn’t get to spend time with Gabby and they didn’t connect, it sounds like he would have just left.

@mbl I get that it's different with 2 leads. But if Jason is F1, why aren't they showing their connection and their love story? Jason was pratically non existent for 5 episodes, he was only showcased in E4 and E7 when he had dates.  Couldn't they find a couple of minutes each episode to show a conversation and a kiss? I would be very disappointed if I was him watching the show and seeing that they're showing more of the F6 and F2 guys connection. IMO.

I was generalizing sorry if I offended anyone and for not adding IMO.. When I say everyone I just meant a lot of people. English isn't my first language and sometimes I word my sentences like I would in French without realizing that some words or expressions have different implications in English. You probably noticed that I edit a lot to correct mistakes.

The edit is even more wonky this season because Of the 2 leads and not having enough time to show a lot for each.

I would say that even AVEN and Rachel’s story has not been shown much and he from SCs makes it to the end. All I have really seen so far is them making out a bit and that’s pretty much it. What with rachel cancelling a whole day of dates has given us even less to work with. So believing the spoilers at this time is pretty easy on the face of it. There’s barely evidence to the contrary and same with Gabby. No proof one way or the other. Imo

Now for Gabby I don’t really see these guys as her type even if one of them gets engaged with her or decides to date her. Can they last ? Yes but it still doesn’t feel connected. With any of them. I blame the edit.
Therefore it’s more important to follow post filming crumbs. JMHO
