He didn't think it was a good idea to tell multiple women ILY because how does that make sense for that person to move forward he see's that now but if there wasn't sexually compatibly he would have moved forward with the others. He was falling for Serene too, but thought she shut down because he didn't tell her how he was feeling. Then he thought the others will do the same, if he doesn't tell them how he feels. He just felt they needed to know that he was falling in love because they needed to know before engagement.

After HT's the next time he saw them was FS so he felt he needed to tell them asap.

Ben added his opinion, he felt the same he felt it was important for them to know but realized later it made it messy.

Clayton realized after Gabby he's in trouble. It hit him like a brick wall, and realized he was going to hurt someone badly but still felt they each needed to know how he felt.

Ben stands behind him and there were ette's that did the same. Is it right or wrong, that can be argued.

He admits to not handling the Susie conversation well. He was grasping and wanted her to stay and give him a chance. Third or fourth time she said she can't get past this, he started thinking why is she not giving him a chance. He started thinking she just wants to get out of it to be the ette. He felt she was playing him. and that's why he felt he didn't know her. He doesn't believe it now. He just convinced himself she wasn't there for him.

He just wanted to get through it and have her give him another chance.

Some of the games played, Sarah's lies, etc played on his mind and knows some came on to further their careers but some were there for the right reasons. With the Susie situation, those thoughts came back. She showed no emotion whatsoever, he was so hurt and upset but watching it back he could see her emotion. Three hour conversation.

He asks people to have patience and understanding. He was following his heart at the time. No excuses, he's giving explanations, he's not dodging blame, he wants people to understand. Fully accountable for his mistakes. In the coming weeks he wants people to see he was following his heart and it makes sense. See it all the way through till the end.

He wishes he would have taken a breather and walked away to think through.

He sounds very sad. I can't imagine how nasty people are towards him.

So, he asks we watch it through and it will make sense. Sounds promising?

hmmm. after reading that recap i think clayton & susie might be together. his comments about how he now knows she wasn't playing him to become the bachelorette, given the current rumors, stand out. but he's either going to pursue things with susie or leave atfr single imo. he's emphasizing how he was going to choose her and she was his priority too much to be trying to get back with rachel. if he is with susie i think it's very recent though.

i can't believe how bad the edit got me  i was CONVINCED rachel was the one and even now i don't understand how/when he became the most in love with susie cause i've never felt it between them. sometimes chemistry doesn't translate well on screen though 

Imagine how he would feel if, Susie returns, he proposes, she declines and goes on to be the ette.

I understood how he felt at the time as he was explaining in the podcast, although he says watching it back he had it all wrong.

He had a three hour conversation with her and she wasn't willing to give him a chance. She kept saying no.

I can't understand why Rachel would post lovey dovey posts about Clayton.

In addition to the VD one and Houston we have a problem, she also posted this one on Jan 5th. Sorry if this one was already discussed. I went through her IG to refresh my memory and saw this one. It could mean just about anything, but it's there.

Please. So he basically had to test everyone out. If she didn't get him going enough then he would have still happily dumped her. Sometimes sex takes time. You have to have the chemistry and then work on it. Wham bam in the fantasy suite isn't going to necessarily give you that. It seems he puts the emphasis on the sex rather than everything else that makes a relationship. I'm sure the three ladies are even more impressed after hearing how easily he would have shifted again if little Clayton wasn't thrilled enough.

Even if he works out with someone, I don't see this lasting. IMO He is not ready for a relationship.

The bottom line for me is if you truly love someone you would never be interested in having a roll in the hay with someone else. A couple in love discusses their sexual relations, what they like and don't like.

So if Susie was great in the FS and he chose her, but her personality was all about her, (just saying as an example) not giving into the relationship, only concerned about pageantry and shilling, that's ok? Ridiculous imo.

Everyone has the right to feel that way, personally I don't get it.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] It just makes him seem even more selfish and self centered. Like you, I don't get that. Yes, sexual compatibility is important and it may break a relationship if it the couple can't come to some kind of mutually satisfying arrangement, but your shared values, interests, goals, humour and respect, communication are what set that foundation. Personally, if the other stuff sucks, then no matter how great the sex, there is no hope of a lasting relationship.

Is this the first time since the show began airing that Susie doesn’t have a story up on instagram?

I listened to Dear Shandy and they were more on Clayton's side although think he handled things badly. It seemed like they had some of the same doubts about Susie as I do. Clayton could have made better decisions for sure. Unfortunately for him, I'm not sure that Susie would have stayed even if he didn't do what he did. It's an easy way out after the fact because there's no defense. I'm not defending how cold and accusing he was towards Susie, though.

Basically since he is love with all of them...with Susie more than the other two...but, if she wasn't as good in bed, he would then be more in love with one of the other two. (Probably Rachel since Gabby was the slow developing relationship.) So to put it simply...he will be in love with whoever is better in bed, who gives a rats a** about anything else they bring to the table.
