I love this show because you already have the family there, the best friend, feeling out the guys to see who is genuine all the while these guys really opening up and Nicole is so intuitive which makes her a wonderful “bachelorette” #TheCourtship

I just watched first episode (thanks for the link @sprite) . I like it , looks like it's gonna be good. Maybe these new dating shows will take over the ratings and we'll soon be saying bye bye to the Bachelor/ette. jmo

I would like to know what the ratings are for this show and Joe Millionaire. Bachelor has been around for decades so has a built in fan base, but these are new and I wonder how the ratings stack up.

I see lots of positive posts about both and many seem to be from people who also watch the Bachelor. I have not read one positive post about the Bachelor when compared to either the Courtship or JM.

I haven't seen any positive posts about this Bachelor season either, it seems it's getting worse every season jmo. I do see that some of bachelor nation contestants congratulating Kurt and Steven for a good run/show.

At the very least it might make the Bachelor producers re-examine their show and maybe try to revamp it a bit.

It has been such a pleasant change watching these two new (well sort of new for JM) dating shows. There is no screaming and the cast somehow manage to fall in love...even if only temporarily...while keeping their clothes on and being respectful. There is still drama, but it seems more organic and they don't beat you over the head with it. Both shows are entertaining and the time flies by so fast that I am left wanting more, unlike the Bachelor where I tune out or multitask and don't pay attention to most of it and yet still feel like it is dragging on.

From what I can tell the ratings for episode 1 was dismal so not sure where NBC stands on it since the lead in was America's got talent. Not sure of the post live ratings but I do hope it ticks up for episode 2.If it does not then I will at least enjoy it while it airs even if it ends up being just a one season and done. Delightful show nonetheless.

I wonder if you're right and more guys show up when the door opens and she has a shocked look on her face. There were only 16 guys so maybe they have 5 more show up to make it 20?
