Pretty Little Liars - Discussion

Count me in...I'm also looking forward to the premiere of PLL.  Rumor is season 4B is the "season of answers"...However, since there will be a season 5, I wonder how many answers we'll really get.  I still want to know who pushed Ian off the bell tower and saved Spencer.  I think PLL is best when they have a few mysteries and resolve those, while they introduce a few more, rather than presenting too many mysteries or too many possible alternate s/l or having large gaps in storytelling.   I've somewhat accepted the Ezra thing (its hard for we Ezra fans    ).  Although I still want to believe its an 'evil twin'...  

atem   I saw some of the Ravenswood marathon yesterday (rem, the ghost thing was a little creepy for me, so I hadn't seen a full episode).  I wasn't able to see all of it, but it was better than I anticipated.  SO....Miranda is now a ghost or was a ghost when she met Caleb on the bus?

She died in the car accident. Miranda was alive when the met on the bus.

Should have know the 'Ezra isn't as evil' stuff...same as with every 'A' team member.

I should re-watch PLL episodes this weekend.

Never watched PLL...what is it that people like about this show? Is it a spin off of something?

Its based on a book series, though the show changes a lot by adding new storylines/characters. It's about 5 girls, one of them named Ali who disappeared over Labor Day weekend. They have to deal with the aftermath of her disappearance by figuring out what happened to her as well as getting texts from "A" someone who is trying to ruin their lives by revealing secrets, breaking up their friendships/relationships, family issues, e.t.c. There are a ton of story lines that are related to Ali & "A". It's like a teenage soap opera/mystery! Once you start watching the first few episodes, should explain more as there are lots of spoilers can't really say much! & there is a semi-spin off as well called Ravenswood that premiered last Fall.

Thanks Linds911 for the response. Are characters from PLL now on Ravenswood or a totally different cast? Seems like there are a lot of people that watch both.

A new cast but one from PLL, Caleb who is Hanna's boyfriend. It focuses on his life.

Also Rolly, even though the four main characters are teenage girls, it does appeal to adults.  I was a late watcher to the series cause I initially thought it was just a young girls show. If you like mystery, friendship/family, and romance, you'll like PLL.  :WAVEY:

I can't believe that Caleb lied to Hannah and made her think Miranda is still alive!

My thoughts

-The Mona/Ezra exchange was the best scene of the premiere

-I thought the Caleb/Hanna 'breakup' was lacking. He just kept saying he had to go with no mention of everything Going on w A.  They've always portrayed Caleb as the protector and he didn't mention anything ( unless I missed it).

-No Ali, wonder when or if she'll interact w them

-Does the other missing girl really need to have same personality traits as Ali?  Seemed a bit much but maybe there's a s/l coming
