This makes me wonder who their intended Bachelorette was and kinda makes me think it was Rachel and they werent expecting the Gabby for Bachelorette hype. I think Rachel was kinda screwed over by TPTB giving her the F1 edit, because there didnt seem to be much hype for her to get the lead role until the very end. I could see TPTB maybe being afraid if they gave just Rachel the role at that point that people would be upset.

Interesting that Nick said theyd never wanna do it again though, i was thinking they may pick one Gabby guy and one Rachel guy to be co-leads next season but doesnt seem like that's something they wanna do haa

Maybe they (network) would like for there to be a Bachelor co-lead, but sounds like the production and crew don't want to. From hometowns on -- they had to double up on filming. I don't blame them especially since it was a last minute decision and they weren't prepared. It also sounds like the cruise ship filming was stressful. Between the co-Bachelorettes and BIP format twist, they are trying to switch some things up. Hopefully, it will help the ratings. JMO.
