I'm not sure what she's doing, @albean99 but like you mentioned, she won't be sponsored by a U.S employer unless she somehow finds or wants a job working for a company. Even that I think is difficult because the employer has to prove they can't find a suitable candidate within their country.

Astrid finally became a permanent resident after 2-3 yrs? I'm not sure how she did it but that was US to Canada.
