Clayton Echard - Bachelor 26 - Discussion

Courtney starts off by talking about how great Zach is, he's not boring and very personable.

I'm not sure I can listen to her for too long. Maybe it's nerves.

She introduces Clayton reading a prepared intro. They are talking about what kind of music he likes. He used to like to rap.

He was an event and ran into Rachel. They had a great conversation. They grew a lot and are able to look past the challenges and mistakes. He wants to make sure people know you could have good relationship with an ex. Clayton mentions several times, he made a lot of mistakes, he was a train wreck, he was constantly thinking but not sure how to navigate the new position he was in. Later he realized it was all insecurities. He cares less now, about what people think of him.

He can find the positive among the negative, a lot of healing. Growing up as a kid, he felt neglected. He wanted attention for his success's which led him to wanting to be liked by everyone. Looking back he wasn't neglected by family.

As long as his friends and family love him, that's all that matters. Courtney says it took many years for her to recover.

People found out he was tb and they started filming two days later. It was all very quick, he thought if he reached out to former bachelors, he felt they are all different people, he didn't want to be swayed. In hindsight he feels he should have, it might have saved him.

She says Ben got sick a lot, she asked if Clayton got sick. He always had a mask on, fortunate enough not to get COVID but one day he was stuffed up and super stressed after 3 hrs of sleep, was tested and he was negative.

It's ok but sort of boring, 20 minutes in is enough for me.

Good for him. I'm sure that process was therapeutic.

@bluwavz Got teary reading what Susie wrote. They obviously had a special bond and share genuine care for one another. Beautiful to see. And to donate half of the proceeds is generous - there is just not enough support for this cause. The fact that Clayton, tall, handsome and an athlete, shared such uncertainty gives his platform more ooomf. Good on you, Clayton!

I just don't get people who are so mean on other people's SM! That's the danger of getting your 15 minutes of fame (or more) but it doesn't entitle followers to make those kinds of comments, imo.

The fans did more destruction in their dm's. Ripping them to shreds. So much commotion and chaos tearing them down. They were dealing with their own trauma. They got to a point where they couldn't heal together, the comments were so horrible. They didn't want to get out of bed to deal with it. They couldn't be supportive when you can't support yourself.

It's heartbreaking to listen to the pain caused by so many ignorant people in this world, who can't find a way to be positive and show empathy.

Re the fake cheating. imo people need to be fined big time for ruining peoples lives like that. She just outright lied and apparently did the same thing to an nfl'er. He had to prove to the public he was at the gym and not in NYC with this woman.

The New Book vid. He's in a good spot now, he's been through a lot of growth. He's been documenting and pouring his feelings for the last 8 months. He thought he'd handle the show a lot better, even being a good person he realized later he was emotionally young and insecure.

I'm glad he got the help he needed and seems to be in a good place now.

That's a great article. Every time I read about Clayton, I have hope he is helping others. I always had a soft spot for him because I thought at the time he was going through things that we didn't know.
