Any time a show starts twisting itself into knots trying to attract an audience you know it's jumped the shark. The younger "hip" audience they are try to attract has the attention span of a gnat and will be off to the next big thing and they will have pissed off their loyal, long time viewers.

Yeah this. They should have doubled down on the traditional format and gone for very traditional values (I don't mean 'straight', btw, I mean people who are genuinely interested in love and marriage and not instagram fame) and leave the new formats to new shows. I work with a lot of Gen Z kids (16-22 year olds) and none have the slightest interest in The Bachelor franchise. Literally everything they watch is on tiktok... they'll watch big series on streaming services but for the most part if its not fast and light they don't care. Chasing that demographic with any form of the Bachelor is a lost cause. Love Island is way more their speed if they watch anything like that at all.

I'm cleaning up threads. Do we think this is done, done? They claim they aren't ruling it out for the future.

It wasn't included in the Ten Upfronts for 2023 so definitely no show in the near future.  

I think it's probably done done DONE.
