Bachelor in Paradise 7 - USA - Episodes - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Alana's nose is now out of joint because she has to leave. She was ok going after Chris, locking lips, in front of everyone, but now she's p*ssed because she has no friends.

Some of these people are fake from top to bottom and just use people to their advantage then spit them out when they are no longer of any use.

Do they get paid? If so I wonder how much. Could be why Alana is mad, she won't get as much for only being there 24 hours.

Natasha is within 30K of IG followers compared to Brendan and the show has not yet begun to air on the west coast.  I won't be surprised if she surpasses him.  She had a bit less than 80K yesterday before the show and now is above 260K.  Brendan is at 289K. He reportedly had either 346K or 349K yesterday before the show aired. Pieper is in low 80K down about 7K but folks think she is buying followers to keep the numbers up.   So I guess the "strategy" didn't exactly work as planned

@BuckeyeGal Yes absolutely IA with you. They do get paid for every epi that they are there for. I can't remember the details, I think I heard it on a podcast long time ago. I think the numbers were around $5000 and possibly more depending on the contestant.

I bet Becca is earning more than the others, just a wild guess, I have nothing to base that on.

I read (can't remember source) that per episode contestants of BIP earn $7k-$15k. No amount of money would make me want to go on that show.

I don't remember Chris from Katie's season and there must be a reason - he is not a standout or standup man.

Catching up on day 2, love the vulture shown just before Chris and Alanna's date. How apropos.

I don't think that Chris and Alana planned this ahead like Brendan and Pieper did. Yes, he was a jerk when it comes to Jessinia but I don't really get why they ganged up on them and made them leave while B & P were still there. Sharleen and Andy think it's because a lot are friends with Brendan and not Chris. That could be but I felt bad for Natasha.

I was actually disappointed that Joe took part and was actually one of the instigators of it. I know that they didn't hear all of the things that Brendan & Pieper were saying but they had more evidence of what they did than with Chris and Alana when they booted them out. All they really had was that they had met each other before and were attracted. That's exactly the same thing that Jessinia did with Ivan other than she wasn't as in your face with him.

I didn't really like the whole VIP party which was designed for more drama. I did like Becca's date with Thomas. I'm not convinced he's a true villain. I think everyone comes to the shows thinking that they might have a shot to be lead. I do think that he really likes Becca so we'll see...

Ratings:

Over on ABC, Bachelor in Paradise (3 mil/0.8) ticked up week-to-week and again tied AGT for the demo win. The Ultimate Surfer (1.3 mil/0.2) was steady.

Andy perfectly describes Demi as a 15 yr old and describes the host in the same way I was thinking, had no idea who he was and he was over theatrical.

@albean99 IA about the whole Chris thing. They all ganged up on him. BIP is about getting to know a variety of people. Every one has the right to drop someone and move on imo. I think Piper and Brendan situation was even worse since they saw each other quite a few times. It didn't seem that way with Chris and Alana SCMIIW. Either way both those couples imo are guilty.

In my opinion Riley & Joe confronted Chris because he was disrespectful to Jessinia by flaunting kissing Alana in front of her at the host's party the night before. Joe also suspected Chris did not have honorable intentions because he had been asking Joe how to become famous. From listening to the Bachelor Hour Podcast with Becca, her guest Alana revealed Katie invited some girls including both Jessinia & Alana and some of the guys from her season including Chris to San Diego where they hung out in a Group before BIP. So both Jessinia & Alana met Chris at the same time along with some of the other guys & flirted with them prior to BIP but did not date.

IMO Chris's main problem was he did not communicate to Jessinia he wanted to explore other possibilities. We don't know what he told Jessinia before Alana arrived and he did say on screen that Alana had something that was missing with J. J may have been thinking they were an exclusive Couple before he switched to Alana right before her eyes at the host's party. Jessinia probably felt Chris was leading her on for roses waiting for Alana but I don't think he planned it but that he actually discovered Alana responded more to him at BIP than J did making him question his relationship with J up to that point. After what happened to Natasha with Brendan using her only for roses it probably made J think Chris was waiting for Alana. Jessinia was right up in Chris's face in outrage telling him to "Go Home" when Joe & Riley were questioning his intentions & the disrespect he showed to J but neither Chris nor Alana said it was planned. I think it just happened in paradise.
