Bachelorette 17 - Katie Thurston - F1-F4 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Perhaps I have the minority viewpoint, but I like Blake. His work with animals is great, he seems more mature than some of the contestants, and he is good looking, IMO. Zac (who I really like) and he also seem to get along well. I look forward to seeing his interactions with Katie.

It doesn’t matter if they said they were manipulated and edited…… we SAW them on TV reacting, crying, begging almost. This was not their twin eh?

Listening Blake my first reaction is that he has issues to maintain a long term relationship. Maybe he gets bored or the women get bored. I honestly don’t see him emotionally stable.

Katie has a terrible past and regardless what she says about recovery etc. She will always have trust issues. Not talking sexual. I believe Blake and Katie will have HUGE sexual chemistry. I an talking emotionally.

2 emotional people together… great fireworks at the beginning, major frustration long term. Imo

Anyway. We’ll see. I think Andrew is too kind and she needs to be put on her toes. Greg is an immature young man and sadly she got this fantasy in her head that was just that… fantasy.

I'd be concerned if I were Katie - no matter how Blake comes across when she is with him. He is crazy about Calire - then crazy about Tayisha. And what do you know - he's crazy about Katie. I think she should have held off on an engagement.
I don't know how the story is going to evolve re:Greg but I don't think it's so bad about his being in acting before this. I assume he is not acting while he is with Katie - unless at some point he wanted out and tptb wanted him to stay to finish a story. Perhaps he did like her - but in the end was not ready for an engagement.

Everyone sees what they want when they watch the show. And many see differently. If I take, for example, Rachel. I didn't know RS spoilers or anything. I was in the unspoiled thread. So I was not aware of what was going on on the "dark side" and all the fans about Peter who saw the love story between them. I didn't know RS changed his mind as well. I also didn't know that Bryan was not loved mostly too. I was very surprised.

I saw the love story with Rachel and Bryan from the start. For me, it was plain to see. I had no doubt. The way Peter didn't like to kiss her or touch her... it was so painful. A lot of different thoughts came to my mind about peter but it was painful to see how much Rachel seemed to like him. And regardless of what she claims today (and that is IMO why she is so angry), she was very attracted to Peter. At least physically. Yes, edits. Of course edits. But she wanted intimacy that was not forced. I recall her on the sofa, on the bathtub etc., and all the crying when he wanted to leave at F2...

But on the other hand, Rachel was totally smitten and falling for Bryan. Bryan was definitely falling for Rachel and that was that. She was conflicted like all the leads before and after her but in the end, she fell in love with one.

And when I saw so many mad about it I had a WTH moment honestly. And I laughed so hard when RS said he got it wrong.

And this is what ***I*** saw. Everyone is entitled to see the show differently with the edited version is given by the prods. Reality TV is often a B**** eh?

anyway. with time doesn't get better for me because if I have a good record with Bachelorette, my record with bachelor is totally meh as I fell for the F2 most of the time. I fail to see the love story...

And ALL I want when I watch this show IS to see a love story and stick to this up to the finale and be satisfied that I was right aka Tayshia, Ali, Emily, Rachel, Ashley H, etc. I didn't watch Becca's season and very few of Kaithly's seasons. I am not always interested in the leads like Colton or Matt. I won't say I am especially with Katie but she is different, especially during this pandemic.

I respect everyone's opinion. different is also good because it gives me the motivation to see outside the box!

All is good and all is ALWAYS my opinion only. If you felt I was mocking you, I apologize. I am very sarcastic and I am french Canadian therefore I may be misunderstood because of my culture, my background, etc. but the truth is I am sarcastic about the prods and the show never to the person sharing their opinion, it is not about this person, it is always about the contestants, or RS or mags etc. Your opinion is appreciated. This IS a forum of discussion. A difference of opinion is expected. all I am saying is that I do recognize sarcasm and I am happy you are sharing your opinion. Some people do not like different opinions. I share all this to explain because we don't know each other and it is so easy to be offended and/or rub people the wrong way on a board because we are mainly strangers. Nobody should apologize for who they are and what they think. I and you included. You are bringing a different perspective because of your experience and this is appreciated.

I can't recall why we think Greg left, but if that's the case I wouldn't discount seeing him in S/caps. I sleuthed that S/cap in the fountain in Spain till I was blue in the face, and swore it was Ed much to the disagreement of others because "he left".

You were persistent about it being Ed in the Spanish fountain and you were right!  That was such a fun and crazy season to sleuth!

I often check Blakes IG to see if he's following anyone new. His last follow is anthonycaere (who is a wonderful human being for all the work he does) and I know that follow has been there for several weeks, but what I never noticed is the second most recent follow is The Humane Society of the U.S. . It may mean nothing since he's so involved in animals, but why the recent follow of a U.S. account. His thread confirms he followed three new accounts which was noticed on April 12th. Doing the math on his follows and date we noticed, the last two are recent and after April 12th. He was spotted filming April 1st. Just putting that out there.

So I listened the podcast with Blake, Tayshia, mike and Biebe.

1. Blake said if not coming to Katie season, he would have applied to BIP

HUGE imo. It means the “I had to come, Katie is the one” is pure BS IMO. This guy wants the spotlights, fame and glory and he doesn’t care who is in front of him. He has a purpose and insisted that people paired him with Katie at every turn and he saw it on social media all the time and he is convinced Katie saw it too….. he doesn’t know? Weird. They should FaceTime daily and by now, few months after they met, they should have discussed a lot. Katie is in social media a lot, before the bachelor and bachelorette. It is utterly suspicious to me ht hat he seems to know so little about her.

My question is… did the producers read those social media matchmakers too and thought to attract more interest from bachelor nation if they cast Blake again? My jaded me say Heck Yes!

Is he a villain for wanting the spotlights? No. Maybe he wants to use his popularity to save more animals. His Instagram seems to be save the animals focus. Compared to some other contestants, his Instagram is at least meaningful. However, I question his sincerity and genuineness when he said he fell for Clare…. Then Tayshia…. Then Katie. I think anyone would have work… if not anyone in BIP as long as he stayed the longer possible.

Did he fell in love with Katie? Maybe. I doubt it, but maybe.I have seen impossible becoming possible in this franchise

2. Prods manipulated Blake.

Katie showed up at his bedroom at 5am. He didn’t know if he would be introduced at the rose ceremony… meaning he knew he was staying BEFORE she even confirmed he could stay? The sex manipulation will be seen all the time with Blake I predict. Sex positivity is THE theme of the season.

I don’t forget they have common lifestyle passion such animals and outdoors/nature. That is indeed advantages but not necessary a F1. I know many couples that are different and nonetheless fell in love. We’ve seen it in this franchise too. I don’t say it doesn’t help to have the same interests but not mandatory.

3. First 1-1 is going to be sex charged

As expected, Blake has imo the Nick Viall hot sexy position in their script. The chemistry will be so high, viewers will believe he is F1 (maybe he is). Per my experience too obvious sexual chemistry are rarely F1

4. Katie went to Texas visiting family (cousin she didn’t see for long). She said she was tired of the cold rainy Seattle weather…. Did she go to prospect a house? She said she put in rental her condo… Texas is definitely hot…  Is it possible that Andrew got a new job in Texas? He is stuck up to July 3rd in Vienna, last date his football team will play this season…. Just a theory. I think we can eliminate Blake moving in Texas…
