I'll give the guy in turn out gear a pass, but why cannot the cast come in a suit (no tie necessary) and dress shoes? The women go all out in gowns/uncomfortable heels, etc. but some of these guys are so casual for the event.

They should do this for every ette. Choose a charity they are involved with or make it correlate to something in their life or hometown.

Speaking as a teacher, we're easy to please. For elementary teachers, pencils, crayons, scissors, pencil boxes, dry erase markers, and composition books are all great. Boxes of tissues and paper towels are always welcome. And if you really want to send an elementary teacher over the moon, get her a set of personal size whiteboards (that the kids can write on at their desks.) We never have enough of those.
