Re: Donate Button Explanation
@GuardianAngel no, thank YOU. There was no reason you had to put this on yourself before. Glad we can get a head start on the upcoming years,

Re: Donate Button Explanation
@lipsis TY!
Ok I messed up, but that's ok.
We had $161.64 in paypal.
I didn't realize the domain renewal was 1200 I thought it was included in the 4430 credits to renew the advanced package and the no ad's, but that's ok because I had this sitting there from last year when I purchased credits last year to renew.
I noticed the 1200 in this message, I didn't notice it before.
I could buy 9000 credits for $162.00 short a few cents, we had $161.64.
So I added another $10 (because they flip flop from CAD to US wanted to make sure it was enough) to use all the money and bought 9000 credits for $162.00 giving us a total of 11,141 credits
I renewed the domain for 1200 and renewed the advanced package and no ad's for 4430
Summary of payments
Used 1200 to renew the domain
Renewal of the package
We have 5511 credits left over, thanks to all the donations! We have $9.05 left in paypal. We used 5630 to renew everything. I'll probably just add a bit more to buy another 500 credits for $10.60 so that will pay all of 2022!
Thanks again everyone!

Re: Donate Button Explanation
I had no idea you were personally paying for the forum @GuardianAngel you should have said something sooner!
I just donated a small amount via the link above as a test (it worked ) and will come back on pay day to contribute more. We might as well get those credits in the bank now, so you know things will be taken care of for the next few years.
ETA: Since others are having trouble I wanted to add that I used PayPal successfully, so might be a CC problem?

Re: Donate Button Explanation
I kept getting error message of a glitch. I could not get it to accept US and related info. It kept going back to Canada...not that I blame it. Lol. It kept saying try again later, so I will see if I can get it through tomorrow.

Re: Donate Button Explanation
@pavalygurl I have the same problem. I am using a credit card (I guess I could sign up for PayPal but I normally use Apple Pay) and after 5 attempts, I am not able to make a contribution.
The ONLY way I could make a donation was to set up a PayPal account. Turns out I had one from over 15 years ago but it had an outdated address and phone number and the password needed to be changed. But I persevered. I think the donate with a credit card option is where we get hung up.

Re: Donate Button Explanation
I used PayPal and it was very easy. I donated in CAD, but it was automatically converted to USD.

Re: Donate Button Explanation
I think @bobette 's theory may be correct. The problem lies in the credit card option. If you use Paypal there appears to be no issues.

Re: Donate Button Explanation
Thank you to those who donated in the last 24 hours!
I am sorry some are having trouble donating. When I set it up I tested it from credit card $1 then later $10. I didn't have any issues, but maybe it has something to do with the account set up in CAD? it shouldn't, as it should accept all currency then the cost is converted to the currency of the person sending.
I did those two donations via credit card because I initially donated $65 via VISA debit before I implemented the donation because I was just going to pay for it again. (not sure if Visa debit is available world wide) that method comes right out of your bank account, however it takes 3-5 business days to process into the paypal account. It's still not in the paypal account, I did that on Nov 20th. Once it finally gets to paypal I will be moving that back to my account because of the generous donations.
When choosing pay by credit card, mine is defaulted to CAD, maybe that needs to be changed to USD? maybe it's defaulted to CAD for everyone because it's CAD dollars, but if you're outside Canada the dropdown needs to be changed to the currency that you are in? I'm not sure, just throwing out suggestions.
