Re: DWTS - Season 29 - Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*
@GuardianAngel Not a problem
Kaitlyns dance off was really good. She really is in a good place. And she is really getting Artem to loosen up. He is a great dancer of course but he needs to be more fun and relaxed so Kaitlyn can be more herself. She really is a pleaser and hates to disappoint everyone. Artem needs to capitalize on her fun goofy side because everyone knows she is a technically great dancer. He needs to embrace the essence of “Kaitlyn” and she wont disappoint.

@nikikass she did great in the dance off. IA it's Artem that looks like he's trying to hard at times. I'm glad they got an extra 3.
She is so determined when she gets involved in anything, so whatever happens I know she'll be so grateful for the experience.

I'm glad that Kaitlyn made it through to another week! I don't think that Chrishell was an unreasonable choice to go home, although after the first round I thought it was going to be Nelly.

Very happy to see Kaitlyn voted safe, she had a good night. I personally thought she was underscored for her Jive, probably due to going first, even though with the night's scores (no one got any 10s) it turned out to be a decent one. She fully deserved three points for her Samba. I was shocked that Nelly got saved as he had by far the lowest scores. Fingers crossed Kaitlyn can kick on even further. She's only two weeks of competition away from the final and if she makes it, all bets are off!

I'm glad he spoke up. Go to the link for the full story.
During an appearance on John Melendez‘s “The Stuttering John Podcast” (watch below), Bergeron was asked if he misses the show he spent 15 years and 28 seasons hosting. “No,” Bergeron emphatically replied without skipping a beat. “No, because it started changing early in 2018. There were staff changes and, I think, philosophical changes about how to do the show. So I miss the earlier years. I miss up until that point when it had a different vibe, a different feel. No, I’m kind of digging this time off and I’m quite capable of being very lazy.”

Yes, that's when things took an undesirable turn. The four week athletes' season was far too short. I felt like I was just getting to know the contestants, and they were at the point when they have started to develop some dancing skills. And just like that, boom, and it was over. The two seasons after that had really horrible, unfair eliminations. Talented contestants who might have been expected to make the semis were sent home mid-season. In every prior year there were contestants who went further than they should, but the cream always rose to the top in the end. And in 2018 and after, that just didn't happen. It made the show almost unwatchable.
I'm glad that Tom is enjoying his time off.
I will say that the eliminations seem a lot fairer this season -- the fairest that they've been in years. But I was thinking on Monday that I was missing Tom and his sense of humor.

I am very turned off by Tyra's theatrical costumes (I think it detracts from her interviewing) but is totally in keeping with how shallow the world is - needing everything to be visually attention-getting and providing only a quick sound bite.
Been watching this crap show like forever

@Norcalgal ITA she is trying to make this show all about her. Her vocabulary, pausing. after. every. word is so annoying to me!

I believe Kaitlyn is doing a tribute dance to Britney Spears tonight. Britney was my girl when I was younger so I'm all for this. Fingers crossed she has a real breakout night scores wise and gets the votes to advance to next week!

Justina:
Dance: Rumba
So slow. But she did well with what she had. It was missing something to me.
Judges: Nice Rumba but not enough engagement. Needs more extension.
Scores: 8,8,8

Nelly:
Dance: Jazz
It was really good. He has improved. But little Jazz. I really like Nelly.
Judges: Even though he missed some steps. It was a joy and fun to watch.
