Now I'm "thinking out loud". They are aware of the interest in them, they are aware of the pressure/expectations that come with it, they know people are speculating and gossiping, so they could stop it to some degree by speaking up clearly, saying "we are JUST friends who reconnected and are "quarantining" together". They've decided that they don't want and feel no need to give explanation to people who follow them, they've decided that the status of relationship is only their business, which leads me to believe that there is some sort of effort to progress their bond without outside pressure. If there was any doubt whether this is just friendship, their avoidance addressing the burning question is pointing towards growing romance. Now it could be all just for the "talk" and self-promotion, but I haven't gotten that idea from their record concerning other relationships they were linked to. So while the continuing interest is keeping them in the spotlight, they are also probably aware from the past experiences that if the fans ever feel being played or misguided, the backlash comes, so that makes me doubt they would be playing with fire, but most likely they are dealing with their flames.
