@Sprite omg yes. When I went to bed I checked my sheets, it's just freaking me out. He had to attach himself on me somehow. Maybe when I shook the jacket and sweater and I'm looking at the jacket and sweater making sure no bugs are on them, meanwhile he's on me!!! I'm freaked out to begin with because there's so much new development, the animals are being chased out of the forests that are being cleared. Possum's are eating everyone's gardens, and reports of a fox or two in neighbourhoods.

What's happening about Halloween? I haven't seen any information other than don't have Halloween parties.

I just know I'll be ~~stuck~~ eating 100 chocolate bars!!

@GuardianAngel I feel your pain!I sent my young niece and nephews some Halloween books, stickers, card game and lots of the candy hubby brought home! No trick or treating for them this year but they have awesome costumes! I'd just let them wear them all week until they tire of them.

@Norcalgal That's a great idea letting them wear their costumes all week. I do the same for my great niece and nephews, loot bags because they trick or treat in their own neighbourhoods and I wouldn't get to see them.

I'm just not sure if parents will be trick or treating with their children. I've seen some suggestions online, Easter Egg hunt in back yards Halloween style, wearing costumes all week and having controlled neighbourhood parades.

I think there will be trick or treating in our neighborhood. Last year we had about 200 kids and it was nuts. If we decide to give out candy, we'll be putting them in treat bags and having them spread out on a table at the end of our front driveway so we can stay a safe distance away. There's also this:

We had a major storm last year. I had maybe 20 kids when the storm came in around 7pm and was left with 100 chocolate bars. laugh out loud

No need to cancel Halloween, says Dr. Tam — as long as everyone follows the rules
Canada's top public doctor says there's no need to cancel Halloween this year — as long as trick-or-treaters respect the new realities of the pandemic.

"I think finding that balance of trying to provide some degree of normality, even though it is actually different from any other year, most public health leaders think that that is actually important," Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam told a briefing in Ottawa this morning.

Tam advised parents and kids to maintain physical distancing while trick-or-treating outside, to stick to pre-packaged treats and to have hand sanitizer readily available.

@Sprite no problem. I almost forgot too until I came across something in the news.

Apparently they are looking at staying on DST in the future but NYS and Quebec has to agree.
