Looks like the 'drama' ends in Peru. Well, until the end of course.
Anything I post means it's Just My Opinion. Don't feel like posting it every time I post. So, I thought I'd get that out of the way.

That was the worst episode ever! why didn't someone just jump in the pool at the pool party? That pool party sucked! Ahhh seriously hope the end is worth my torture in watching this season. It is dragging, and I blame Peter.. jmo

I blame the network, production, whoever makes decisions about casting and makes the show board, which seems to be the same tired puke every year. I’m shocked that the numbers improved over last week.

Blame them too, but Peter needs to stop taking sides and just go with his own gut, and stop dragging this on. He is more wish washy than my washing machine. - jmo

Champagnegate -- I am still finding Kelsey tiresome in the extreme. I'm sorry that Hannah Ann didn't do a better job of standing up to Kelsey and telling her to get over it. Those tears were wasted.
Right now, Victoria P. is my top candidate for Bachelorette.
I always like seeing Demi, but her talents were not put to full use on this episode. Demi is very good at getting to the gist of what's going on, and making astute observations. I could see her observing the girls and then offering advice (something that she did very well on the last BiP.)
As for Sydney, she wasn't wrong. Alayah was acting like she was in front of the panel of Miss USA judges when she had her sit-down with Peter. That girl was working it. I was watching a Hallmark movie a week or two ago, and the lead actress had similar mannerisms. The actress in the movie had a scene where she had to show romantic interest in her male costar. She tilted her shoulder forward, and then back, she cocked her head, and smiled and laughed just so -- tons of small movements designed with precision to indicate interest. That's what Alayah looked like to me. She looked choreographed. She looked fake as all get out. It's like she's been pageant girl for so long that she doesn't know how or even why to turn it off.
Having said that, while it's a given that Alayah was likely plucking Sydney's very last nerve, I still think Sydney would have been better served by keeping her mouth shut. But that's me. I found the comments of the other women who supported Sydney's point of view to be quite interesting -- Alayah saying of Victoria P., "We knew each other well," vs. Victoria's assertion that they only spent about three hours together.
There were two disappointments to me with that little point of drama -- first, Alayah. I had high hopes for her pre-season, and was baffled that someone who was so promising on paper was dismissed so quickly. Now I see why. And the other disappointment was Peter. Is he really so easily taken in by such nonsense? And why would he feel the need to get to the bottom of things right now, anyway? What would it really cost him to keep Alayah around for a while longer?
The episode seemed a little silly to me. But by next week, things should start to get really interesting.

ITA. Peter can do the marketing schtick with the "greatest love story ever told" crap, I don't believe it. I don't think it matters who he picked because he's not going to get married to them. I'll be shocked if they last 6 months post-finale. Peter is not ready to settle down, I don't think any of his actions show someone interested in finding a wife.

The dating show scored a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49, roughly a 20% increase on last week’s episode, and 6.2 million total viewers, up almost 1 million viewers from last week.
And this is why this will be the new normal moving forward IMO. The vast majority of the contestants will be cast for drama, not romantic potential, and tptb will do everything in their power to make the episodes as full of that drama as possible.

IMO, the reason he wanted to dig deep on the others views of Alayah is because of what he went through the previous season with Hannah. Not that Alayah is anything like Luke P but the fact that very few of the guys in the house could stand to be around him. Some of them expressed their feelings to Hannah and she disregarded them entirely. I don't think Peter wanted to fall into the same trap so he decided to try to get to the bottom of it right away. And, if there was an issue, he would do something about it. I also don't think he was that taken with her so it wouldn't be like he was getting rid of the person he was falling in love with (IMO, he was much farther along in his feelings for several others by this time).
Again, IMO.

I would love someone to SC Peter’s beard the night before to the pool pastry. IMO he did trim his beard ....at this time in the season he cares what she thinks. He asks her and he listens to what she likes and trims his beard the next day. She is the only girl I look forward to watching. Madison is darling but they show no real conversation but the same thing over and over.....their date.
I think it's in the SM thread, but you should check out the ET article on his top 3 at that time (week 3) and Kelley was listed! Interesting.
He mentioned Victoria P...don't get why and Madison.
