One of the men who will be vying for the affections of New Zealand's first Bachelorette has been revealed this morning, with the announcement of ZM's Wild Card winner.

Flynn Palmer, 20, will join the other eligible bachelors on the NZ debut of the blockbuster international show, which is due to screen on TVNZ 2 next year.

Palmer beat out fellow Wild Card contestants Karl Ford and Michael Burns in a series of three challenges which saw them have to create a road trip mix-tape, complete a photoshoot with a puppy and practise being an 'Insta boyf'.

He described himself in his application as "confident and chatty" and said he loved travelling the world.

Radio Station ZM put out a call for a Wildcard to enter the mansion and thanks to a public vote Flynn was announced the winner! He’s hoping to do those voters proud and find a girlfriend he can ‘do life with’!

Flynn wanted to take part in a dating experience that was something he'd never do in any other situation, and something that would challenge him and push him out of his comfort zone.

He’s a model by day, but will his blue steel be enough to charm our leading lady?

What will your friends and family say when they find out you are on the show?

They will be really excited. We’ve watched some of these types of shows before, and I think they will enjoy seeing me on the show.

Tell us about your dating history:

I’ve had one serious girlfriend, and that lasted 10 months. It ended about a year and a half ago. We just grew apart and I was going to go to Europe for four months to train. We are still good friends.

What do you want to get out of this experience?

End goal would be a girlfriend I can do life with – I’m still quite young so finding someone I can go on adventures with after the show would be amazing.
