Bachelorette New Zealand - Season 1 - Dr Lesina Nakhid-Schuster - Lily McManus - Episodes - *Sleuthing Spoilers *

Holy moly, that is a lot of episodes. I've been vaguely keeping up through reading posts every now and then and I don't regret checking out after episode 1 tbh

I feel like for a first(?) season [assuming they weren't always intending it to be a one-off], they should have kept things more tight and more controlled. Two bachelorettes, 30 or more episodes... gah! That's too much! Def puts me off ever trying to catch up. You only need 10~ longer eps (eg the way the US does it) or 16 shorter eps (the way AU does it).

That's a lot of epis! How can they keep viewers interest going for that long.

27 Episodes??? Admittedly most of them are one hour long, but still way too long. They should just double them up and maybe only do two a week instead of 3 or 4.

What number episode was this? It is just dragging along since it is clear most of these guys are MOT and these women are just not interested.

I am disappointed that this is how they decided to do the first NZ Bette. Does anyone know how it has been doing in the ratings?

Between this and Bach US -Peter Weber season I’m feeling less than enthusiastic about these recent Bachelor shows.

i have to agree the last 2 espisodes have been mind bogglingly boring. Its is as if Lesina has time with her loved one Aaron ,like touching base, then it is as if she has to get back to her job interacting with the men.Aarons smugness is getting tiresome, she is not remotely romantically interested in Micheal, Steve, now Logan, Mike not really things may spice up a bit but he seems to independent for Lesina. Richie is currently sitting on the fence but as @Bobette posted Lily seems on pretty familar terms with Richie and his family, her IG story clip with Mike was to do some stirring. Quinn posted on his IG photos of himself (someone mentioned this was on his IG story as well) and Logan. Quinn being the handsome guy that he is, looks incredible. However these photos have that runner up tone to them. Quinn is gorgeous as is Mike both runners up I suspect. So both especially Mike with his credentials and beautiful dreamy eyes could well be the next Bachelor. Lily is not romantically interested in Elliot, Terrence or Liam she really likes them and clearly would love to remain friends per her banter with Liam as posted by @Bobette. It just seems as if they are going through the motions with the producers focussing on drama between the extremely bored and islolated guys. Interesting has anyone seen the KFC advert ? with Terrence, Elliot, Mark, etc not Aaron, Mike, Quinn, or Richie so that says a lot

I like how Lily and her guys seem to have remained friends and I do like how most of the guys seem to get along post show.

I would be good with either Quinn or Mike as the next leads. They both seem well liked and lovely guys. Same for Richie.

So IMO we've had about 2 eliminations per week so at this rate we will have 36 Episodes (Gagh) - so it might be double the Bettes, double the Episodes. Which would explain why we've had such boring episodes lately, trying to fill in the time. Bring on double eliminations pronto I say.

Honestly I feel like there should have been some kind of PSA that the season would run that long.  I like to know what I'm getting myself into.    

I agree with everything you say upthread @Karina.  

Lesina seems set on Aaron and almost irritated at having to spend time with the others.  It's insulting to them and the audience's intelligence IMO.

Richie I suspect was sent in specifically for Lily.  I'm wondering if she knew (or knew of) him pre-show.  He seems hand picked in many respects.

Lesina won't be interested in Richie at all IMO so him dating both is pure storyline fodder.  I thought the switch hitter would be Quinn but guess not.

I have little motivation to watch another 18 episodes of manufactured drama and girls going on dates with boys they're not interested in.  

WTH, TPTB.

@Bobette Yes I did wonder that, but he is missing in the SC by the pool so he must be out sooner than that . . . . the way this show is going I don't think the 'explosive secret' will be all that interesting. Maybe someone had an overdue parking ticket.

Lily's birthday episode at least gives us an idea of the filming timeline - November 17.  IIRC they left Argentina Dec 3?  ETA: Nov 24 And then presumably filmed HTDs etc when they got back.  Oh man there is still so much more to come....
