Re the bold: That's what I thought. Sometimes the most obvious makes most sense. I didn't think Caelynn would randomly answer a post on SM that Dean asked her to marry him and they got married. I was only able to see one picture with Dean wearing a ring on his fourth finger, and who knows the pic could have been reversed to appear it's on his left hand. She probably read all the speculation and had fun with it.

However, despite the speculation, a source tells E! News that Dean and Caelynn are "not legally married." According to the insider, the reality stars had some sort of "commitment ceremony" while they were traveling abroad and it "really brought their relationship to a new level."

I agree that they are not legally married, but I have thought for a while that they have privately made some sort of commitment or pledge to each other.

The ring seems to be significant. I saw a golden band on his left ring finger right after they returned from Europe, and they now say that he has upgraded it to one that he had his finger measured for.
They were on Ben’s latest podcast (separately of course) and both said the other one should explain the ring. Caelynn did call it a wedding band though.

Dean has repeatedly called them a family on IG - casually, but it’s a strong word from someone whose family ether died or abandoned him at age 15.

Having listened to Dean on multiple different platforms, it seems he LOVES to joke around with "truth" and troll people. He has said Caelynn shares his sense of humor, which seems quite sincere, so I totally see them doing things together just to stir the pot with fans. Who knows what their status is beyond obviously spending time together and having fun with it. Whatever it is - or isn't - that they are doing, I wish them the best. Having a partner in crime in this world is a good thing. I don't need to know the terms of their "contract."
