Bachelorette Australia - Angie Kent - Season 5 - Episodes - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

The whole season has been producer driven imo. Especially so when it's a celeb/known lead. It feels like the celeb lead seasons all over again. I miss the quality of Georgia's season and her cast

IMO this episode hasn’t done Angie any favours. She has come across as cold and condescending, and as wooden as Carlin’s delivery was, he seemed more genuine than Angie. She seemed like a petulant brat in this episode IMO

@sprout, @Storybook I agree imo Carlin totally genuine. As his brother said Carlin May have gone into the season for his modelling/acting and fell for Angie and imo think Carlin the only one she has shown any real emotions with. Tonight RC v telling. Imo it was good for Carlin to challenge her questioning. Imo felt like an equal relationship even if content was negative instead of contestant and lead. Not sure if explained that well. Both scared of getting hurt which means feelings are involved. Angie post show has stated they have good communication. Also noted that Angie stated meeting Carlin early for gym session so was a long HTD.

That right there is a recipe for disaster IMO.  Give me a boring, stable relationship over a tumultuous, mistrustful one any day.

Imo at the end of the day Angie’s only problem with Carlin is his reason for going on the show which just happens to be the similar to all contestants if everyone was honest. The lead only ends up with one person. She knew he had done some acting/modelling so?? Imo all reality tv is all about exposure or money.

@appiah01 i haven't heard Matt's interview so thank you for sharing what was said about Carlin. Give me a "Mr Perfect" any day. But not forgetting Carlin is far from perfect in many people's eyes. There is a reason Angie has never been in love before, or probably many reasons. Did she come on the Bachelorette to find love? Going by how she comes across cold and nit-picking I din't know if she did. Angie having a stable relationship IMO is going to be a challenge for her and Carlin. But I honestly believe they have a good chance of making things work.

@Loulou Angie tried to sabotage her feelings for Carlin and she was hard and IMO a unreasonable in her accusations. Carlin stuck up for himself and to me their conversation was the most real (also dramatic) of all the guys.

Just watched her scenes with Carlin again. First, that was really compelling TV. Bravo, producers. It also seemed like the most genuine emotion I've seen all season. They both are very invested. The rose ceremony was like all emotion from both of them. Who knows what happens after the show but I believe that they have real feelings. They're definitely human and imperfect, which is good. This episode added to the conflict that's needed for a good storyline and that's what the producers are building- a storyline arc. Seriously so good.

Thanks for all the commentaries. And well done to the AU producers, I didn’t think the they had it in them to bring in so much IMO fake drama on all the HTDs. IMO, so many producer manipulations at work.  I am still too jaded though to deduce if the drama has any correlation to anything post show; seen too many HTD drama that was much ado about nothing at the end

i have one thing to say about this episode.. with friends and families like this, who needs enemies

i am starting to believe those rumours about boys not wanting to be there and asking their folks to throw them under the bus on purpose, sad

I agree - fake drama all round. The producers have certainly achieved what they set out to do and created controversy. Unfortunately there are many comments from viewers who are now questioning Angie’s intentions and I wonder if it’s backfired on them.
