Tyler Cameron - Bachelorette 15 - Discussion #2

I don't get it. These pictures are meh IMO.

I just don't see it with Tyler anymore. I think his appeal for me was his relationship and how he interacted with Hannah. Now that he is away from her, to me he is just another wannabe guy.

I am also not into following fashion (I'm old and past the point of caring about what is the "in" thing to wear) and just don't get the whole industry.

I wish him a good life though and do hope that he keeps a sense of who he really is in the future because it is awfully hard to do that in these days of SM.

Words I like to hear about any former contestant that was on any of these shows. Dylan says Tyler is happy and that's really all that should matter, imo.

Been awhile. I’ve said before I’m just not into the whole male modeling thing and can’t believe it is something he is seriously chasing. It’s just not attractive to me. My friend also is pretty surprised by his new direction, the modeling and going full metrosexual. I’m sure he is happy now. He at least appears to be but many people act happy in that world while drowning so who really knows.  I wish him well but  his pictures are just not good and I can’t see it going anywhere even with Gigi assistance. JMO I do hope he gets his contractor license or has some sort of back up plan.

I think an MBA in Accounting is a pretty good back up plan, as Accounting is one career field I rarely ever hear about there not being enough work opportunities.

I guess if one's only interest in Tyler was as it related to him and Hannah, it would make sense to not care about him now that he's completely removed from that world. Lucky for me, my liking of Tyler was irrespective of his relationship with Hannah because she's the one that in general I never really cared that much about.

She's okay but I did think she was too young to be the lead and I find her emotionally messy and hopefully she grows up and eventually gets to a great place. As for Tyler, frankly far as I'm concerned, nothing he's doing now is any worse than being immersed in Bachelor world that frankly comes with its own level of toxicity. This past season and seeing the growing rise of Bachelor Nation social media reactions and all that comes with that has just turned me off to a lot about the franchise.

As I've said, I think if anyone wants to move on from that world, I'm fully on board that. Bachelor Nation is filled with a lot of insecure contestants desperately clinging to fame and fans who are too invested in a reality show and very toxic in their extreme opinions. A person is either the bestest, greatest person or suddenly they're the worse.

I agree with you. I'm happy, he's happy. Frankly, I would have been most unhappy if he had settled for Hannah. If he loves Gigi, I hope they make it. I see lots of promise for them.
If not, I hope he finds someone else who's smart enough to put him first. That's what I like most about Gigi. She chose him out of her tons of choices. I find them adorable. All IMO

His "goals" (which I'm now thinking weren't really his goals) of getting that contractor license was what made him attractive to me. And, I think we saw his real personality with Hannah... a guy that likes to have fun and doesn't give a darn what anyone else thinks. It also came through with his interactions with the guys in the house. I also think back to his IG stories the week before the finale when he was with his friends and family in Florida. He was a normal guy and he was in his element, living a life he loved. I now see someone being stifled and not being able to be himself when he is with GiGi. Just imagine having to be careful of every single thing you do because of the paps that might show up... no way to live IMO.

With his accounting degree and a contractor's license, he could have a very rewarding and fulfilling life but I also saw nothing wrong with him doing modeling on the side. I'm like you @Summerfun1980, I just don't see the big time modeling thing going anywhere.

Except we've never seen Tyler with Gigi. We've seen a handful of Pap pictures but we have no context of how those two talk to, relate to, interact with each other. Basically, we have no concept of what their relationship dynamic is at all.

IMO, some are making bold assumptions based on "she's the famous supermodel" with little to support it. And I'm not saying anyone has to like Gigi or care about her but if judgments are going to be made, it'd be fair to have some real context to these judgments.

It just feels again to me that Tyler isn't dating Hannah, he moved on to a supermodel so "clearly he's not the same person, he's not being who he once was, his modeling will go nowhere, etc. etc." Truth, would these same feelings exist if he'd been back fully with Hannah? Would there be the same dismissiveness about his modeling? Because I don't remember seeing that when his old modeling photos were posted while the season was airing.

And so what if Tyler doesn't become some top model. The point is he's young, he has no responsibilities and so if he's getting opportunities now, what's wrong with exploring and taking those and see where it goes. If it goes nowhere, then okay.  I'm sure he'll survive.

Maybe its me but I don't see anything different than what he did pre finale, unless I am missing something. I know others find his stories now annoying or different but I don't see it. He never really shared that much of his personal life if you really looked at it. He clear magnifies parts of his personality so you don't get the whole picture. He shared the boat parties and lobstering but how is that much different from him and Matt at a restaurant. He doesn't go on social media when he is with Gigi or conducting some business but I would expect that no matter who he was dating because now he is off the show and doesn't want that person to get the treatment his best friend Kate did.

We also have to remember even though we think we know these people thru the show and social media we don't know them at all. The show is highly edited. Like I don't think in reality Jed sang that much to Hannah and they edited out his sense of humor because from what Hannah and the other guys have said he was really funny. That is what edit tv show does. Makes you see what they want to. And people choose what goes on their social media so you can never know if that is real.

On Juliet's podcast he pretty much made it clear after his dad was healthy enough to take back the business he had plans to try things in New York before the bachelorette. I don't fault anyone on this show for testing the waters after the show. I say go for it. He has things he can fall back on if modeling or his other plans don't work out. He still young and can test some things. All jmo.

@lleyki I felt like he was uncomfortable at the TH red carpet. -AND NOT just because of the shirt given to him to wear made him look like a third grader on picture day, or that it was ALL so new.
jmo... I think it would be difficult to walk the red carpet and feel like people may think you were there only because of who you were dating.
