Imo Chelsie/Matt chemistry is there we just have to search for it as editing has only shown glimpses. No story if their chemistry is as physical as Abbie/Matt. At HTD Matt stated 1st SD chemistry was obvious however we only got few seconds of a pool kiss which was actually 2 kisses linked. Saw more in screen shots reviews and ads. Noticed on GD where had hands linked whilst focussed on each other matt has stroking his thumb along her hand. It’s the small things which indicate intimacy. She stated he listens which is important in a true relationship whilst with Abbie it’s all about the chemistry. He wants to know her. They kissed before going to meet her family. I definitely think chelsie is f1 even with the limited visual love story. It has been imo what has been said that has been important.

IMO If he picks with the brain in his head  it will be Chelsie and if he picks with the other brain it will be Abbey . IMO , he seems to be ready to settle down , knows what he wants in his wife and will end up picking  Chelsie . 

When are the overnight dates? Thursday?

Should we have to search for it though?  In a season that proclaimed to be going back to basics I was hoping for a more visible love story, but once again they have privileged drama over romance and obscured the core relationship behind smoke & mirrors IMO.

They've gone the safe route here with an F2 who is almost universally despised, ensuring a mostly happy audience in the end, but they need to work harder to get the balance right in future seasons IMO or viewers will constantly be left confused by the Lead's choice.  

@Jolena - No overnight dates in the AU shows, F3 dates will be Wed then the F2 go overseas (South Africa) and FRC on Thurs.

@Bobette I agree but my point is if chelsie/Matt chemistry is as hot and was shown more then there would b no question as to F1 imo. At least now there is doubt for non spoilt viewers. Don’t remember even seeing a true love storey on bach au. Even Sam W was extremely physical with Alana who also thought she would b f1. I always think the telling factor is the lead chasing who is his f1 imo. Looking forward to the next 2 eps. Interested to see what Matt’s family r like and their take on F2.

@Loulou You're probably right.  

I think I expect too much from this show, but IMO it should be possible to have an entertaining season, show the central love story, and still get a suspenseful ending.  

They just never get the balance right IMO.  IMO they should be less rigid with their casting, and less concerned with manufacturing storylines that don't exist.  

Imagine a season where they cast 20 women who are genuinely compatible with the Lead, rather than 1 or 2, and then just filmed the developing relationships.

We could have an actual reality show. Shock horror.

Who knows what they'll do with MTP? It should go the way that they love Abbie, as she will be so open and gushy about how she feels, and they are unsure about Chelsie, as she's more reserved, but TPTB seem determined this year to belt us over the head with how VERY VERY BAD Abbie is, and so VERY VERY not the right one that his family will probably hate Abbie, love Chelsie, game over, the end

@butterflylove Those dresses are so perfectly themed - Helena's dress is a cold gunmetal grey, Abbie's is fun and SHEER and her signature colour of red (passion) while Chelsea's is "just right" - a neutral colour, some subtle sparkles and a hint of leg/cleavage.

I'm glad that we've moved on from trying to make the F2 happen (guys, Elise is the dark horse, he's going to choose her ) as has TPTB, they accept that Sportsbet/TAB are going to spoil the season correctly every year, even last year when there was no winner, Britt was technically the F1 as the last to show up at the FRC, so they now muddy the waters by playing down the F1, playing up the F2, and potentially planting stories that they have broken up or he's done a Blake, just so that even though we know who he chooses, there's still doubt around the result to keep people watching.
