Yeah that's where I'm at. He's either massively being taken advantage of and has genuine struggles with social communication and reading social cues, or he's playing everyone quite masterfully and playing a role/persona.

Disappointing, but not surprising.  Matt got caught out on ig recently replying to one of Kim's multiple bikini posts - someone said something like "obviously single after BiP", to which he replied you are allowed to have friends of the opposite sex .

@Agent99 Matt started following a tonne of scantily clad chicks one after another a couple of months back, then his account suddenly got cleaned up just before BiP premiered.  I would have been shocked if they were still together now, and would have assumed it was faked for the optics.  

If they did actually give it a genuine go, it probably fell apart back when Renee started posting those stories about Glenn, but I still suspect it was pre-planned for mutual publicity (with TPTBs blessing because it fit the storyline), they just didn't anticipate having to play along for 8 months.

Yes, that’s what I see and if there’s $ to be made, you’ll always have an attorney ready to go and get that $ retainer. Jamie is SO impressionable with big words and stuff he doesn’t understand. He has that ‘ nobody’s home’ look so often, it’s scary. People - those who have the patience and compassion- talk to him like they would a 5 year old. He has some obvious problems and those are not classified under the ‘ gifted’. or ‘extra intelligent’ categories. Have you all forgotten his freaking breakdown when Timm was leaving? Sorry. It’s obvious to me.

Here you have Matt flaunting his singledom (his last follow is indeed Kim, while he's been in Darwin), and then you have Glenn and Alisha quietly following each others friends.. Fake love vs genuine love.

@Vjeff Thanks for that article, where Helena is being super diplomatic and nice IMO, she knows full well she can’t really just say, “ look Jamie is not very bright and is like a young child who is still thinking the world revolves around him”. She can’t publicly say anything remotely true or slightly negative, especially knowing that he is obsessed with her. I would keep a really HUGE healthy distance with him if I were in her shoes, as he is prone to misinterpret any gesture or even S/M replies .

Yep this and emphasis on the bold IMO.  The whole thing was cooked up pre-show IMO (and probably with Ciarran's blessing since he knew it'd put him in the middle of their storyline as well as his own).  Neither Renee or Matty got much airtime on their seasons so this was their chance to get some attention.  All they need to say is they decided they're better as friends and the audience will accept it IMO.

I'm guessing the "candid" pics of him and Kim are being released now to prepare the audience for the fact that they're no longer together.  If he wasn't in Darwin I'd wonder if Renee was going to say he cheated or lost interest, but being in the NT suggests they're going to present a united friendship front IMO.  Wouldn't be surprised if Alisha and Glenn go to NT for the finale too now that the borders are open.

Also just noting that Kim Hartnett is a famewhore of the highest order IMO.  She's been linked to so many other reality z-listers it's hard to keep track but Ryan from MAFS was one.  She copped a lot of flack during her time on Love Island for leaving her son at home who was 2 or 3 at the time IIRC and it looks like she still isn't prioritising motherhood (although I'm sure a 5 yo would think Matty is SUPER COOL )

Re the bold: I noticed last night that Alisha followed Discover Coral Coast or something, the area Brooke went on her roadtrip a couple weeks back, so I wouldn't be surprised if Alisha and Glenn head up the coast for some roadtripping of their own next week ish and spend time at the Pinnacles and Ningaloo.

Also, BIP just posted a photo to IG to promote finale week, using a photo of Lishy and Greg from their bath date, and they seem to be promoting the babes more than anyone else (couples video cover being Greggy smiling, the couples photo slide cover being Lishy and Greg, using their bath date for finale week).. is there a chance they are the only surviving couple through covid and iso? Conor and Mary wouldn't have been able to see each other since in months with the Tassie boarder closed, which would make having a relationship really hard.
