The Hobart rumour mill went into overdrive this week when a familiar-looking face was spotted on a promo for the upcoming third season of the reality dating show.
And a bachelorette’s recent visit to Tasmania recently are adding to the intrigue.
Speculation is rife that local real estate agent Conor Canning is due to appear on Bachelor in Paradise some time during the new season, which starts on July 15 on WIN.
Hobart real estate agent Conor Canning is rumoured to be appearing on the new season of Bachelor in Paradise.
Mr Canning, who is the director of PRD Hobart, did not respond to requests to comment and a spokesperson for Network 10 said they would neither confirm nor deny the rumour, but they “welcomed the speculation”.
The third season of Bachelor in Paradise brings back contestants from previous seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette for a second chance at romance in the popular dating series, which was filmed in Fiji late last year.
While Mr Canning was not listed in the official Bachelor in Paradise cast line-up released by Network 10 on Monday, the show usually has surprise intruders enter the game later in the season.
His Instagram and Facebook accounts both show a gap in activity between late October and mid-December last year, which was when the show was being shot in Fiji.
He is also friends on Facebook with confirmed Bachelor in Paradise contestant Mary Viturino from Melbourne.

Mary will be a returning bachelorette on the upcoming third series of Bachelor in Paradise on WIN. Viturino, 32, was a contestant on season seven of The Bachelor and a big fan favourite thanks to her witty commentary and animated facial expressions.

Adding to the intrigue, Viturino’s Instagram account includes three photos clearly taken in southern Tasmania in February, including Wrest Point’s Revolving Restaurant, Suzie Luck’s in Salamanca, and the Tessellated Pavement on the Tasman Peninsula.

It may all be a coincidence, but since nobody directly involved is talking about it, all we can do is wait and watch.
