Oh geez, Reddit and it’s herd mentality will be on Tyler until the next shiny BN social faux pas moment.

It's just given some an excuse to rant against him some more and pretend that the real reason they all turned on him is not because he dared to not live up to the fictional fantasy they created of him in their head. Honestly, I think I'm officially over Bachelor Nation. This franchise is just too ridiculous in my opinion, for all the over the top analyzing, feelings, dramatics, etc.

It's a bunch of people who came on a reality show chasing some type of fame. Let's be honest, they're all guilty of it in some way. Some were nicer than others and some found love and that's all great. But at the end of the day, it's just not that serious. And I feel like the over the top behavior from viewers has created an even greater toxic culture among the franchise.

In other news saw that one of Gigi's cousin's, Joann in this case followed Tyler on IG.

Edit to add he follow Joann, Lizzy and Bella. And bought Bella and Lizzy followed him as well. So I guess they are done hiding him at least a little bit.

That said, I've found that people live to be extra on social media and be pressed about something or another. Maybe? But I kind of doubt it because for the most part his likes are super intentional. Football, bachelor, hadids.

Also, he just followed all the hadid cousins and Bella on IG. wouldn’t be surprised if they go official at fashion week, seems to be gearing up to that.

The comment he liked had LOL at the end! It was a bit tongue in cheek, not serious. People only read what they want to read. I really don't get all the hate he gets. IMO it's the same as Hannah did in her tasting video.

I think context also matters and sometimes things are taken too literally. I know many consider the whole "throwing shade" as inherently this bad thing, as in you're insulting and by that token being mean spirited to someone. But that's not always the case.

First of all, the whole "throwing shade" originated from the Drag world, where the Queens would compete at who could be the "shadiest" to each other. And it wasn't done with malice. I make shady comments to my friends, siblings. In some instances, it's just plain snark and sarcasm.

All that to say, Tyler maybe liked the being shady at Hannah comment because maybe he was making fun of her constant use of the word clarity during the season. It doesn't mean he dislikes her, is petty, was being mean, etc. It may have just been simple light ribbing.

But because some are determined to create this narrative around him and Hannah, this gets turned into a big thing. Same with Hannah's video thing where some decided she was throwing shade and criticizing him and she had to clarify that she was more so making fun of herself.

Don't get me wrong. It was dumb of him to have liked it because he should know how much people read into every little thing. But I honestly don't think Tyler is harboring any ill will towards Hannah, enough to even be petty about her.

Well, I tend to agree that the over analyzing of each and everyone’s ‘like’ is out of control. As we know Tyler to frequently troll on SM... and this is taken out of context IMO.
The comment he liked was ‘ shading Hannah low key LOL. ‘ Which is referring to the “CLARITY” word that YES,, she TOTALLY OVERUSED ... so now a comment about a known fact ( raise your hand if you were NOT exasperated  with her mention of this word) is becoming an attack on Hannah’s character and is made out to be a ‘ shade ‘ to her as a person??? This is just ridiculous. Hannah herself is able to laugh at her flaws...why can’t her fans do the same? A whole lot of nothing made up because people are bored or upset that we don’t get to see or witness every private moments that is going on in Tyler’s life.
For all we know, THEY ( Hannah and Tyler) are probably fine with each other and where things are. And able to have humor is a healthy sign of that.

Can I ask you what makes you think he is selective about likes? I do think in the beginning he was partly because he was the spoiled f1 and didn't want to give anything away. He would just like comments from the people he followed. But to me I thought that changed near the end of the season and he started to like more fan comments. I also think he tends to troll sometimes like the Gigi dating comments and a few of his twitter comments about different subjects.

Also I don't actually think they are going public soon. Honestly since the driving the car pap shoots I felt like they been trying to be more secretive. They obviously have been spending as much time as possible together when he is not on social media. Honestly from what I can see since those car picture their may have been one or two of those days that they weren't together from what I can tell. One being when she went to the US open with out him and he was at bleacher report that night. To me they been dong a better job hiding what is going on. I don't really know how to read this whole relationship but while a lot of the beginning seemed more pr, the last couple of weeks seems more couple dating. I mean they not only have involve her family but his friends, even one that flew up from Jupiter. Its been pretty fast but I feel like we gotten signs there is more to it than most originally thought. All jmo.

Eh. I think he troll likes on comments from time to time. He has liked comments that were shady towards himself, shady comments towards Gigi and his relationship, etc.  Same could be said for Hannah if we're suppose to analyze everything she's said post show. People are going to think what they want. If anything I think he's shading people for taking this show so seriously and hyper analyzing every little like and comment from these contestants. Remember all the Momma C drama during filming and post season?  Tyler and Hannah could be in full blown relationships with other people and the fans are still going to ask when they are getting back together. I really don't think there is some big drama between these two. They both sprout the same lines about each other "He/She is a good person and has a good heart. I wish him/her nothing but the best". If they had some major fall out and can't stand each other, they are both not above unfollowing each other (plus family members), imo.

Anyway, interesting about his recent follows. I'm still not too convinced Tyler or Gigi will publicly announce they are exclusively together anytime soon. If anything, they have been more under the radar as their relationship has progressed. Whatever they have, I don't think it's all PR. He has now met most of her family members and most importantly, she has felt strong enough in their relationship to include him during what is likely a difficult time for her and her family. If it was strictly PR, they would be packing on the PDA (e.g. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello) from day one and he would not be going to the Netherlands, imo.

ETA: This is what the OP's cousins on Reddit had to say about Tyler. The cousin plays in a bball league with Tyler every Tuesday. Says Tyler is "the most down to earth guy, super nice and very approachable". I'm happy to hear that Tyler seems to be integrating well into a new city and actively going out to get to know the people in his community. For me, it's just nice to see when contestants hang with people outside BN. He still seems close to a few guys in the franchise as I see him interacting with Dustin, Dylan, Mike, Connor, Nick, and Jason. Wonder if his 'work' in LA has to do with filming something for Peter's season. I'm getting Arie and Sean vibes.

@dee Just to add for that last point/theory you posted. RS said the night 1/limo entrance filming is either September 19 or 21st in his latest column. So if he is doing something for Peter's season with it is probably the week of September 16 that it would be happening so no leaks can take place since Peter's official announcement isn't until that week as well.

I totally agree with this post. It was just plain crazy how that fake and awful narrative about Hannah and Tyler got so spun out of control. For the life of me, I will NEVER understand how anyone could think Tyler would be panting to get back with Hannah after he watched the final episodes of her season.

She’s the Bachelorette, Sooooo?!? Who is she really? IMO It took those guys, including Jed a sum total of 2 weeks to move on. She’s a very pretty girl but, the world is full of them, IMO.

The most egregious performance of “Tyler done done BN wrong”?
Chris Harrison takes that award with his portrayal of a man stupid enough to think that Tyler should run, jump and fetch to be the next Bachelor or Hannah’s lapdog. So glad Tyler just ignored them. He is my HERO!
