In all fairness to the mom, she’s all but sitting here telling Hannah her son is emotionally unavailable. Girl, you gotta listen to that. Why Hannah ignored all this, and refused to question Jed about anything, like anything at all, and instead sat goggly eyed while he strummed guitar, and played piano, and sang through is nose... while she gave no red flags Tyler the Spanish Inquisition is just... wow. It hurts. Hurts.

He's a Nashville singer-songwriter! Duh! And he can play the guitar and sing poorly written songs. That's why! But honestly, Hannah is 24, with little life and relationship experience, still gravitates to her usual type, tries to fix men, and romanticized Jed and their relationship into what she dreamed it could be or what she wanted it to be. Period. She doesn't see red flags b/c of those rose-colored glasses. Girl was not built for this process. Still love her and am LOVING this crazy season. All IMO.

At this point in the show, Jed's really not into her. And it is pretty obvious to the lay people not analyzing his microexpressions. His response to her "I am falling in love with you." was dull and lackluster at best and pretty painful to watch. Especially with Hannah beaming and radiating and Jed sitting there with pursed lips, rapidly blinking and sweating. Oh Hannah.

Jed's body language is pretty clear at this point -- not into her. It will be interesting to see if and when that changes. All IMO.

I also just feel like the mother had a "this is all b.s." demeanor about her. And let's face it, many families of contestants throughout the years have felt this way about the show and their son or daughter or sibling, etc. being on it. And well we know the dad later went on his rant about it all being b.s.

And that's all well and good for them and again, they're hardly unique in that perspective and they're entitled to their feelings. It just really sort of sticks in one's craw when you factor this is the family of the guy who came there for his career with a girlfriend he neglected to tell the lead about.

It just feels like they're kind of snooty and self righteous about the whole thing and yet it's their kid who's being the most fake person there. And if they were aware of that or at least Hayley's existence, maybe in all their snooty dismissiveness of the show they might have wanted to give Hannah a heads up about it.

It feels like Jed’s mom was trying to get Hannah to not pick him.

She probably thought this was crazy AF. Knowing he has Haley, seeing how deep in this thing Hannah is with him, and how Jed is just playing her.

I know joking but how is Peter F2? At the end of filming I am 99.99999999% sure Jed was F1. SM to me has proven that out imo. Tyler has been accounted for daily

^^^^I think she is just saying NOW in real life Tyler is her final one because they will start dating. Real life colliding with the show. ;)

I have to admit that if my two sons went on this show I would be saying the same thing. I would be very skeptical knowing there are 4 hometown visits.

I don’t know... I think it’s very realistic for Jed’s mom to ask. After all, there are three other guys she’s still dating. If my son was on the show and had HTD, I will ask lots of tough questions too! Like: you only spent altogether 24 hours with him how do you know it’s real, not bubble love? What do you love about my son? How’s he different from the other three guys? I think any mom will want to protect her child.

Good thing Hannah is not talking to me!
