I'm not a particular fan of any of this behavior.

I didn't read the whole thing either. What I did see is a manipulative jerk and two ladies who didn't have the common sense to tell the jerk to fly a kite.

The producers will make a storyline out of what they have to work with. If the contestant isn't worth it, there's someone else. They had ex's show up before, or   call, or someone rats' someone else out that they have a g/f back home, this isn't anything knew. I doubt very much they cared about Joey once they knew they couldn't get a story going, they just moved on with Luke and Cam etc etc.

IA with @Sprite Who the heck jumps on a plane and flies to some guy's place at the drop of a hat. It may sound old fashion, but what's wrong with getting to know someone and building a relationship so you know who you are dealing with. Texting doesn't let me see body language, or sincerity.

It wasn't just text. That just so happened to be a text conversation she had but a lot of their conversation was over facetime over hours.

I know you've already written it off but it's definitely worth the read. Regardless of if he would have been final 5 or not.
She goes into detail of what happened and what went on. Manipulation is scary and it's hard to see until after the fact when their cover is blown.

There's a lot more to the story but oh well.

Sadly, no matter how many times people read this type of thing, some never learn...even if it's happened to them.

We have seen this many times over the years, many times. This isn't anything new.

If the producers had a storyline laid out for him with g/friends on the side, there's no way he would have been in the top 6 imho. They would use them then toss them when they are done to switch to another focus.

Agree to disagree. It may seem strange how they met but modern dating and technology, unfortunately, has greatly evolved the dating scene. I work with a lot of couples and hearing their stories of how they met, this kind of stuff is actually not that uncommon or far fetched. If you read the story she goes into great detail about the circumstances of how they met and how far he went to try to impress her and prove he was worthy trusting. He spent a lot of time and money which most f**kboys wouldn't even put in that kind of effort. They spent a lot of time facetiming, the screenshots of the text was just one of many conversations of him convincing her to give him a chance. A lot of manipulation and gaslighting went into this situation which is why I am glad she came forward with her story because we are seeing how things are playing out with Luke and it highlights this behavior that unfortunately not many of us learn until after we experience.

As a woman I don't agree and it doesn't sit well with me with any kind of victim blaming or language that approaches that territory. Regardless of her decision or how they met is irrelevant. The point of this entire thing is his actions and behavior. Writing her off is one of the reasons why people don't come out with the stories. While this isn't as extreme as a sexual assault case it is still important for her story to be brought up to production because he is CLEARLY not there for the right reason, on many accounts. I know many women who have dealt with lovebombing, gaslighting and extreme manipulation and unless you were in their shoes and dealt with what they dealt with then IMO it's not fair to discredit them. Multiple women (as far back as 2014) have come forward since this story came out about his cheating and manipulation. Her story is unique because of how EXTREME the lengths he went to pursue her, while playing his ex at the same time, weeks before going on the show. Another layer of how messed up this whole situation is the asian thing and how he ultimately has zero respect for women and how he preys on a very specific ethnic group of women. And what is disturbing is his lack of remorse or care for his actions and behavior as he has yet to address this issue or make amends to all of his exes and how many people have brought it up to him and he deletes and blocks everyone from his instagram.

You might not care but it is interesting to see how this all plays out behind the scenes. Had they gone on the show we might have an entirely different villain this season and he would have gotten an entirely different edit had they not interfered. I just hope whoever he dates next has the good sense to google him and find all this information and at least know what they are getting themselves into if they choose to date him. His actions are disturbing and predatory. Manipulative and narcissistic.
This mess has been just as entertaining as the show itself. Too bad we didnt get to see it play out on tv.

@rosesareredmyheartisdead perhaps you misunderstood my post.

I'm referring to production and how they quite often look for the guy who has a girlfriend back home so they can use it in their storyboard. That has happened many times, someone has a g/f b/f back home.  I'm not referring to these particular women and what they've been through in my post upthread. If this all came to light after he was cast, TPTB wouldn't have known his history.

There have been a lot of disturbing situations over the season, a good example is Corrine and the fiasco on BIP. There have been others with various legal charges in the past to name a few.

I'm glad they are revealing the truth. I don't know who you are referring to as "writing her off" and I think it's because you misunderstood my post. I am referring to edit, sleuthing, and storyboards which is what we do here.  He's a jerk and they are calling him out, and rightly so.

This guy is a nobody as far as the show is concerned IMHO. If they could have used him they would. To be honest, I had to go look at his contestant thread in the middle of this post because I didn't even remember who he was.

Everyone needs to be called out when they behave irresponsibly and no one IMHO should be afraid of anything.
