I'm really wondering if Kristen was the one he wanted but neither was prepared to move so he went with the next best thing.  Could be a default F1 situation, which rarely goes down well with viewers. 

Assuming Kristen's not F1, I wonder how F1 will feel watching them on screen.  If their chemistry was so apparent from a few pap pics on the internet it must have been even more obvious IRL, IMO.

Yep @Bobette I have to keep telling myself to wait until the first ep airs to make my full judgment. With so little to go by I think Matt and Kristen have so much chemistry, they remind me of Matty J and Laura.. it was so obvious from the very start. I am going to be so dissapointed when she is sent home or walks. Did you catch her interview where she said she can be impatient? Smells like a walker.....

*edit: I remember in Matty J's season, I thought laura could have walked when she was crying and really struggling because he couldn't tell her if he loved her back. I think it is going to be the same situation exp Kristen walks... maybe he will jump a fence for her like the US Bach

Yes she's travelled so much - can't see her wanting to set down roots back here just yet, while Matt might be looking to expand into social media/TV, IMO (I could see him being Australia's Brian Cox ) which would be extremely difficult to do from China.
I must have missed the article - could you bring it over or link it please?

I think it depends on when she leaves. If she leaves before hometowns or even at F4, I don't see it as a default F1 situation because they have only had so much time together. For me, I only believe the lead and person they chose are really in love when they have had time to spend time together and develop their relationship. A relationship where they have probably spent 20 hours together (before hometowns) can only develop so much.

An excellent point @olive54321.  Someone calculated the time the Lead and F1 had spent together one season and it was barely more than that IIRC.  

Seems crazy to me that some of the US seasons end in an engagement after such a short space of time but with so many of the AU couples now engaged/married the process obviously works for some.

For me I think the off-camera/behind the scenes/setting up time would be the most valuable, because that's when people would be more themselves IMO.

It would make sense IMO if she leaves before Hometowns (living in China, she may not have a "home base" here), but that would still leave her as the "what if" girl, and they can be hard to get over...

I guess we will need to know when her 1-1 occur and how many other dates she’s on to really get the vibe. We will see how it goes and why she went. 
If Matt has an F1 and it isn’t Kristen then I would like to think, he pick his F1 because he loved her more. 

A lot of the past contestants like to bandwagon probable front runners imo without much substance.

@Bobette True about the "what if girl". I think it depends on the circumstances around her departure. Does he send her home or does she walk? I look forward to seeing how it all unfolds.

Truth be told, I could tell Matty liked Ruffles a lot but it felt kind of one-sided to me in both the meeting pics and their date pics. I Whether she is just not that into him or whatever or just couldn't get comfortable in front of the cameras, I didn't see a natural ease and comfort between them.

You know what? Weirdly, now that I have watched the clip a few times, even though Chelsie and Matt were both competing to be the smartest person in the room in their first meeting, but there was an ease and banter there that could develop into a successful relationship with a strong foundation of friendship and shared interests. From what we have see so far, I don't see that with Kristen. I get major Lisa and Matty vibes from her.

@olive54321 I agree I see the attraction more from Matt towards Kristen than vice versa, and we've had so little to go on, it's hard to compare how he is with other girls.  I definitely didn't see the same lust from Matt towards Helena in the pics of them at the farm though, I'll say that.   

Really can't wait for this to start so I can see them all "in the flesh" as it were.  Wouldn't be the first time I've completely changed my perception of someone after the first episode and he might have the same or even better chemistry with someone else.  Roll on premiere!

ETA:  Also, I should add that I often see more lust/chemistry with the non-F1s, almost as though the Lead is trying to "make the most of it", because they know they won't get another opportunity, if that makes sense.  Georgia and Matty in the Singapore Jacuzzi would be one example.

@Bobette Georgia definitely made the most of it . Don't blame her though!
