Bachelor In Paradise Australia - Season 2 - Episodes - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Watching episode 2 now.

All I can say regarding the way Rachel is carrying on about "MY BACHELOR" is that I hope and assume she is very embarrassed sitting at home watching this all played back to her.  

I did however enjoy it when she asked Richie if there's anything still between him and Alex and he yelled "NO" before she even had a chance to finish the sentence. Lesson learned eh mate?

Vanessa arrives.  Clearly playing up the bitch role she played on Nick's season but whatever.  I enjoyed the shirt sniffing scene and would like to try that IRL.  Pheromones don't lie.  

Oh.  Here's Alex.  Time to go make a cup of tea.  What a shame it would be if I missed her intro/recap package...  OK I'm back oh what a shame I seem to have missed it well never mind...

Richie's death stare down the camera when Alex walked in is so filthy I expect they had to disinfect the lens afterwards.

Brooke says she's attracted to Alex and my eyes roll back so far in my head I temporarily go blind.  Ew gross baby oil massage.  Nathan says something about wishing he was with Rachel which I'm not buying for one second.  

"The confrontation":

Alex is glad she met Richie and in my head that translates to "you were my free ticket to 'fame'".  She contradicts herself, saying he was coming to Melbourne and then saying he wasn't in the next sentence.

Uggh yeah I think they are definitely talking about what has been speculated.  Very tasteless of Alex to bring that up IMO especially as it seems like a blatant attempt to garner public sympathy/attention.

She brought this up hoping to shame him IMO and I wouldn't be surprised if she's trawling through all the articles and SM comments today hoping people are defending and supporting her.  I won't be.

Ohhh, good point @LeapofFaith, Matts from Melbourne, he's smart, he's nothing like the guys currently in Paradise, he probably would be Vanessa's type.

@Bobette ITA that Alex brought it up to try and shame Richie, and gain sympathy for herself. IMO he still came out of the confrontation looking better than her, his story never changed, and his facts were consistent while she jumped all over the place, and she was the one who brought up what shall not be mentioned when she realised that he was coming out of it looking better. I hope she enjoys this last blast of notoriety, I'd say this is the last stop on the Bachelor train for her. 
Richie as far as I can see has't posted anything about BIP on his Insta, I'd say he is washing his hands of it all.

PART DEUX:

Cass is cute around Richie while Rachel embarrasses herself even more.  Girl get a clue - he is NOT into you!  Everyone keeps referring to Alex as "Alex Nation" as though it's one word and it's really annoying me.    Anyway, Alexnation goes to talk to Brooke and they play cheesy saxophone music straight out of an 80s soft porn flick.

Ugh their whole conversation feels so fake.  Rumour has it Brooke was dating another girl at home before filming began, and Alexnation now appears to be back with Megan, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if this whole girl on girl storyline was scripted and they just saw it as an acting gig. If so they should have taken some classes IMO.

Absolutely agree @Dirty Street Pie.  IMO the reason she was tripping over her words so much was because she'd rehearsed in her head what she was going to say to make him look as bad as possible and was trying to remember her script.  Richie on the other hand was replying in the moment so came across much more coherent and genuine IMO.

Paddy and Alicia, realising they're low tier contestants, combine their E-grade assets with the hope of scraping into level D.  They're both frequent narrators so I guess the producers need something to justify keeping them around and them being a couple will do nicely.

Osher arrives particularly sharp in a suit fashioned from strips of smoked salmon to announce there will be a rose ceremony this evening.  Prior to the ceremony, a floral arrangement falls into Alex Bordy's lap, but fortunately it's so well camouflaged that nobody notices.

Rachel embarrases herself even more by asking Nathan, who's 23, when he'll be ready to get married and have babies.  He makes this face and I have to stifle a snort-laugh so I don't wake the cats:

Nathan tells her he "can't be any older" (a fair point) and also that her it'll be her loss if she passes his rose up.  She goes off to sulk and cuddle up to her full-length Richie replica body pillow.

Meanwhile, Richie is off chatting with Cass, probably wanting to get close enough to see her roots and make sure she's a real blonde and not a brunette in disguise.  RC coming up after the break...

Rose Ceremony:

The boys and girls line up on opposite sides of the hut and I desperately hope they're about to launch into a Run DMC v Jason Nevins-style breakdance battle but sadly it's not to be.  

Alexnation looks like she pushed three girls out of the way to get that front-and-centre spot and isn't even sorry.  She and Richie face off, both dressed in black. OK producers; we get it.

Connor steps up to present his rose and I realise I completely missed his arrival, but he doesn't interest me so I'm not going to bother rewatching.

TONIGHT:  Jules arrives!  Also Davey.  Meanwhile Brooke, Nathan, Alexnation and Bill will be going on a double date.  Alex in voiceover saying she has the hots for both of them, as if this show is her own personal smorgasbord.  Feel like I will need lots of tea breaks to get through this episode...

Yep, Alex and Brooke’s whole “tee hee, we’re girls who like girls, and we might like each other” thing was the fakest thing I’d seen since the Honeybadger. And i’d totally forgotten the look on Nathan’s face when Rachel decided to repel him so that she and Richie could continue their twu wuv story, it was hilarious!
 I can see a couple of meltdowns coming out of this, Brooke and Rachel, when Alex goes with Bill, and Rachel will be all “wah wah wah, woe is me, I lose a man to Alex again”

@Dirty Street Pie yep Brooke & Alex are coming across as very fake and forced IMO.  I do believe they both like girls IRL but I'm not buying for one second they're into each other.  

Actually I could see Alex being into anyone to extend her 2 mins of "fame" but what would Brooke see in Alex?  She could do so much better (and already has according to SM gossip).

IMO it's all because after last year's queer baiting backlash TPTB were like, "you want girl on girl action?  FINE, take this then".  Doesn't count if it's fake though guys.

Also let's not forget Brooke DENIED being bisexual on Nick's season, and now she's all out & proud when it suits her role on the show?  Girl needs to get her story in order, IMO.

"I'm not bisexual or a lesbian or anything like that, I am a big lover of people for who they are....

When she had said her piece, Nick told her, "I'm so glad that you feel comfortable enough to share that with me." He then asked her, "Out of both of your experiences, what do you feel is right for you?"

TBH I think she's more into Male Alex and would have pursued him if she hadn't IMO signed a contract saying she'd play on the girl's team.  I don't see her looking at Alexnation like this:

Only saw bits and pieces tonight, so it’s a bit incoherent...
Everyone wants Brooke, she has a connection with both Alex’s, and also Nathan, then Paddy throws his hat in the ring after he and Alisha fall out over Cat leaving. Brooke has got no time for his sh!t, and tells him so.
Alex and Bill kiss, and seeing as I can’t stand her, and don’t overly care for him I feel a little bit of vomit rising in my throat. @Bobette if you’re going to make tea every time Alexnation is featured, I hope you have shares in Bushells, because you’re going to be drinking A LOT of tea.
Rachael appears to have transferred her affections from Richie to Bill, which is bad timing, considering the aforementioned kiss. Poor Rachael, forever doomed to finish second (or fourth) to Alex.
Jules and Davey both came in, so it will be boys pick at the next rose ceremony, but the ad showed Alexnation taking Brooke on a date, and the boys all losing their mind about what it would mean if Alex gave her rose to Brooke
