Update on Nick in New Guinea.

DAY 1 - KOKODA TO DENIKI.
Tuesday 02 October

All to plan today for the first day tackling Kokoda for our trekkers. It was an early start as the trekkers were up for breakfast before a 6:30am flight to Popondetta. Arriving in Popondetta they inspected the monument and headed over to the supermarket to pick up a few supplies before a three hour truck ride to Kokoda. After finally arriving at Kokoda Village, the trekkers were introduced to their local porters and support staff, who will be with them for the next eight days.

They had lunch here and spent some time at the Kokoda museum and plateau before taking a group photo at the start line and then off into the jungle on the way to Deniki for there first night on the track.

The Honey Badger and crew got into camp at 5pm today. All are travelling well after their first day trekking, despite the weather being pretty hot for most of the day, and rain coming down just as they got into camp.

Everyone is now enjoying the spectacular views over the Kokoda valley, and are having a well earnt wash before dinner.

Gotta Laugh! As it's called Honey Badger Trek,  FB user  "Jorj Ricketts   What's a Honey Badger?"

@Rikkim won’t Brooke also have to do Thursday night interview on project if she’s out next?

Could also be that on Friday night The Project interviews F2 after the FRC because he chooses no one and he gets to tell his story Sunday night in a pre-recorded interview. JMO

@Rikkim thank you for your reply. In the past only the Final 2 have given radio interviews on the day of the final episode. With Matty J and Sophie their project interview was done the day following the final (on the Friday as you said). If it was happy news I would've thought the project interview (either pre-recorded or via satellite phone call) would be held on the Friday.
To me three days is a long wait for an exclusive interview when the winner (or lack of one) is known on Thursday.

Could do with Brooke, I'm not sure? That's definitely a possibility for Friday night too with F2 and then just Nick Sunday night, time will tell!

I just get the feeling that like every other moment they have tried to hype up this year (eg. Brooke's I've dated women 'confession') that the finale is not going to be anything out of the ordinary

I can just picture it now, Nick doubling over is just going to be him taking a big deep breath and will be followed by some ocker saying about how nervous he is. I dont think he is a guy completely comfortable in spinning off a big monologue about his feelings for someone in front of a camera.

With regards to the Project interview being held back to Sunday, this will be because of ratings and will probably tie in with a story on his Kokoda trek as there was mention of channel 10 being involved wasn't there? This would allow Sophie (assuming she is F2) to appear on Friday night. They could then have Britt at the desk during the Sunday night segment.

New Idea reported Channel 10 will be filming and covering Nick walking the Kokoda Trail. I'm not sure that is happening. And the exclusive Sunday night interview will be a bit of a boil over as I would've thought the winning woman (??) would be doing media rounds. I find it interesting the winner isn't doing a project interview on Friday. Maybe she is being flown to PNG to join Nick on his trek ??
At this stage anything goes. But I personally I don't think Nick is in love with either Britt or Sophie.

I think this is Sophie's date as they were sitting outside?

Lisa's husband, Peter FitzSimons, wrote a book called Kokoda. Nick had a copy in the vehicle on the way to the Airport in his last Insta story.

Quickly after saying goodbye to F2 he realises that it was alot harder than expected and has a light bulb moment that he is in love with her. Tells producers to stop her before the limo leaves and tells her he made a huge mistake and begs her to forgive him.

This scenario means we still get a love story with all the drama

I like this theory!
I think it could happen the following day after a long chat with Brit.
This would explain Sophie in a happy mood at the airport.

OH MY GOODNESS, I do some real life stuff and you guys have developed 10 new theories while I was gone. You're going to give Daily Fail a run for their money!

I saw the ad, the full one. I actually caught it on tape so I have watched it more than once.


Firstly, it's an ad for 'Supersized Sunday' Grant Denyer voice over 'Going to go off with a bang!' which is taken from the premier of Game of Games.

Fireworks background, starts off with Bathurst 1000, blah blah.

Then goes into 'The Bachelor Exclusive after finale interview'. Shows Nick standing at FRC but not the part where he bends over. Doesn't say anything about an 'explosive' interview, just that it's exclusive. Cuts to 3 girls standing AT THE ROSE CEREMONY! Britt is wearing black dress, plunging neckline. Brooke is standing at the rose ceremony so she doesn't leave before then, she doesn't look upset. Very interesting!

Then cuts directly to premier of Game of Games which is straight after, that's where the 'goes off with a bang' gets said again. More fireworks. Then cuts to premier (I think) of NCIS? I wasn't taking much notice by that stage.


So... take away from that. They are not previewing anything juicy in the post bach interview (which they definitely would if there was something seeing as it HAS to be pre-recorded) but looks like Nick doesn't give Brooke a rose and they talk afterwards maybe?


I'm even more certain now that Nick and Britt did this interview when Nick was 'lost in the outback'.
