Bachelorette Russia Notes Episode 4

We are in Toscana
Beautiful rolling hills and fields on a summer day.
Marina is introducing ...can I say I’m really scratching my head with her outfits... some are downright weird...this is one of them.
Anyhow, the men are on a small road on scooters and it’s very funny...Alex has fallen a few times from his so he is riding behind Walja, Serghei is riding with Denis, and the 2 Evgeny are riding their own.
They arrive to their destination and greeted by Marina. Then Sasha makes his entrance on a regular bicycle.
The men make jokes and Walja makes comments. Then Evgeny.
Marina explains what is going to happen.
Serghei comments.
Then the men are gathered around a table outside, discussing stuff I’m not sure...
It seems to revolve around Sasha’s presence or intentions. I think he is questioned about why he didn’t show up before.
It looks like Sasha doesn’t care what they think but is only thinking what Olga wants to do with him and if she’s happy he’s there ...
Then we have the lumberjack contest, where all the men come in and need to cut a log of wood in two with an ax in one blow. The more they do in a certain time win them time with Olga. ( details are told by Marina, not sure of all the specifics)
You can tell Walja and Denis are doing really well and the two Sasha’s are really struggling...thenEvgeny, ( tattoo man) brakes his ax...then the same thing happen with Denis, the head is broken. So they try to do it with their hands but Marina tells them to stop to avoid injury. Evgeny seems to discuss a lot about something in ITM, and Walja seems to have more but somehow Alex is also complaining about something. She asks Walja his opinion or choice, then Evgeny, the Evgeny$, Denis. I am not sure what they are trying to determine...more discussion and then they go to the mansion. More discussion, Walja seems upset about the rules or the way they were cutting the wood.

Later on afternoon, Alex and Sasha are playing chess. Marina come in and tells the men who is going on a date with Olga. And she says Evgeny and immediately Evgeny$ raises his hands and says YeaH! But she says, no, not him, Denis is laughing at him, Evgeny ( tattoo man) . The guys shake his hands but Walja seems pretty pissed. Denis makes comments and Evgeny.

The morning after, Marina is saying that Evgeny will have his date with Olga. He goes by the pool where the men are playing around and they say goodbye, good luck.
He is barely fitting in the tiny 2CV ( a very small clumsy car, popular in the countryside) and Olga laughs when she sees him come in to get her. ITM ...

She keeps her distance and no hug or kiss for him. She holds his hands in hers extended in front of her making a good gap between them.
Once in the car, they laugh because it’s so snug and clunky. Her body language is very guarded, arms crossed and he then stops on the side of the road and gives her an envelope to open.
I think it says Olga and something else...
She seems happy...then the radio is playing a song... it’s one of her song..she dances a little and sings, but in her ITM doesn’t look so happy...Arriving at destination, again he makes her choose between 2 envelopes...she is standing at arms length again with arms crossed. She chooses one but look at the other, they laugh.
Next they are on a beautiful path, riding horses, with a handler for each horse. They talk and then he stops again and presents 2 more envelopes to her. And at that moment the energy totally changes and she looks very serious. He asks her to choose and she refuses. She seems unhappy and maybe thinks he is not taking this seriously. ( I hear some word like serious) anyway, she stays on her horse but talks to him with a very stern, disappointed tone, and in the ITM she explains...

Oh the body language is not good. She takes off from the horse by herself, seems pissed, then as he comes closer to her, she literally backs away from him...He tries to win his case, but she’s respond with tears in her voice, and backing up...and in the ITM she does a big cross in front of her, like NO, He comes to her and still talks and pleads or explains...but she is always crossing her arms, very protected. They argue, talk over each other...wow, it’s like a real fight between a couple. She is close to tears, you can tell she feels hurt, and all I hear is «  absolut niet seriousness » .
She is very hurt and leaves him, he tears down the envelopes as she tells him something ( maybe don’t come to the ceremony?) and leaves him there. She walks in the field and gets to a pretty set up with a table and a parasol where 2 musicians playing guitar are serenading a Russian song. She is alone contemplating and crying.
We see a review of how she met him and their moments together.

Morning after
Timothy comes in the mansion and introduces himself to the men.

@ 40:00 Question about what was said with Timothy : at one point Evgeny$ talks to T and he alluded to something money, or millionaire, finances etc. which Walja picks up in An ITM and choose to seal his lips, like he knows something but is choosing to stay silent.

Later in when Olga is in the room with the men, Denis takes her outside and somehow, Walla decides to go and interrupt their private time and gets her to come back inside....? Why?

She also get to sit with Sasha ( in front of the fireplace) and he tries to get her close to her, they have a hug but what else is their conversation?

At the end when she is talking to the men and she asks a question to Walja and he replies ‘Denis’ what is that and what’s Denis and Olga say ...?

Episode 4

Olga crying over BB Sasha and the gift he gave her. Thankfully we are taken to the guys riding mopeds and Denis killing himself laughing as one of the guys crashed. And when they are greeting Marina, BB Sasha arrives riding a bike. Nobody looks too pleased.

@Natik What were the guys talking about while they were sitting under those trees? I thought big Evgeny was going over to slug/intimidate BB Sasha when he got off his moped. And what was the big discussion about when Marina stopped the wood chopping competition? The bald Sasha seemed to be complaining about something and then Valja seemed upset?

I was surprised that Olga wasn't there for all that wood chopping. She seems to like when the guys get physical.

How did big Evgeny end up with the date? I thought it looked as if Valja had the most cut wood? Poor guy didn't even fit in that car...I think it was a Citroen. Either way, she had her arms crossed and didn't seem into the date. Very different from the date with Denis. What was she saying to him when they were on the horses? When he got off and was coming toward her, she kept backing up. Not good body language. He was p*ssed! I can see that he is charming when he wants to be and things are going his way, but I can see him being very aggressive if they are not....or if he has been drinking like he alluded to when he told her about the cheating. I think she even said that he was grubi...ugly when he was mad. Yikes.

What were they all talking about with Olga's ex boyfriend? And what was going on with Valja? What did the ex tell her about the guys?

When Olga came into the room Denis' eyes just lit up! He is really into her....way more than any of the others. What did Olga tell them? They all seemed very serious and listening intently. Then of course, Denis brings her flowers. Bit of an a** kisser is our Denis, but it seemed to lighten the mood. Where the guys surprised that she sent big E home from the date?

She really does not want Evgeny$$ touching her. There were several times when she pulled away from him. Very awkward and deflating for the poor guy. She is just not into you!

Denis pulls her aside and I can see she is smiling just saying his name. She lets him hold her hand and give her a kiss on the cheek. Valja comes and interrupts and she is practically rolling her eyes. I think she wanted more time with Denis.

Evgeny gives her a kobasa...sausage. rofl So different from the American version where they give fancy clothes, jewels, shoes. She still doesn't care. He kept asking her something and she kept saying no. What was he asking?

I was surprised at how uninterested she seemed in Sasha. Not that he seemed all that interested in her either, although he went in for the hug and she let him. What did they talk about? She seemed to get more animated as they spoke and particularly in her ITM.

What were they laughing about with Valja? when Denis gave him a hug? and then later when they were talking together?

What did she say to BB Sasha during the ceremony? She didn't seem all that thrilled, unlike when she called Denis and was grinning from ear to ear.

And she was handing out glasses of wine rather than roses or a kiss. Odd. It took me a bit to catch on that she was giving them out and they weren't just drinking.

She showed more emotion letting bald Sasha go that she did for all of them...except Denis. She seemed really fond of the big guy.

At the end there, there was Denis again with another bunch of flowers. He left so quickly after she went up the stairs. Did he go catch her again? And what were Valja and Sergei saying there at the end? They must be able to see how different she is with Denis than the rest of them.

So there are only five of them left:

BB Sasha -- She is attracted to him physically because she keeps saying how prekrasan he is...I don't see it personally... but I don't think she trusts him and I'm not even sure she actually likes him.

Valja -- He interests her I think, but I don't really see anything there.

Sergei -- Why is he still even there? She could care less and frankly he doesn't seem all that into her either.

Evgeny -- No need for the $$ anymore. She really, really isn't into him. I don't know why she didn't send him home since it is clear she liked the big Sasha way more than him.

Denis -- I don't think it could be any clearer that he is the one she is into. She smiles when she sees him. She smiles just saying his name. Their date and their time together is just so different than with any of the others. Something drastic would have to happen in the next few episodes for him not to be F1.

Sorry I have so many questions. No hurries. Thank you again for doing all you do for us here and introducing us to Olga and her "journey".

So first thing what happened on that date. She didn’t felt comfortable with him. She already told him on the ceremony in episode 3 that she doesn’t feel the connection between them and by going on that date with him she wanted to give it a try.
He organized that day in a playful way. He called it himself a game. So he had cards and she should choose. At a point he was overdoing it. She put two and two together and asked him if he is a player. Because let us remember two marrieges and cheated on his ex-wife. She said that it feels like he is all in that cards. He gave up a vibe of someone who is cold. And she tried to go on with the date but couldn’t anymore. So she stopped that game with the cards and said to him that it´s the best to stop that theater. She said that she doesn’t want to lie to him or herself and that it doesn’t work for her. She said she is feeling it in every single way that he is not interested in her and she is not interested to continue with the date with someone who doesn’t want to be there with her. Of course he declined it and they started to argue. Her body language spoke volumes. I wrote about it already in episode 2. It seemed to me like she is not trusting him, like she is even a little bit scared of him. And he came off at one point almost aggressive. It looked like she wanted away from him as soon as possible. he tried to rescue his skin and wanted to talk her into that date and that he wrote a second poem but that was it for her. She was done. She said to him that it’s the best for him to fly back to Moscow.

And here is one more interesting part. When they started to argue the heat was on and she let it slipped about her date with Denis. So basically it seems like she compared him to Denis already in her mind.
I thought at that moment, and it’s not a spoiler just my personal opinion now, that it’s done. It’s game over because during her date with Evgeny in her mind she probably thought „Denis would have done that“ or „Denis would have said that“. From that moment on she will probably compare all the other men with Denis. And of course they would fail in her eyes because it’s obvious that she is falling for Denis. IMO

She is so different around Denis. She is like a teenage girl. Giddy and playful, relaxed and also kinda vulnerable.

Regarding Sasha, yes she doesn’t trust him and she is starting to cool off. There is a reason why she doesn’t trust him. I mentioned that the producers allowed the men use social media during the filming. So apparently Sasha liking and following during that time a bunch of pretty women on IG. And someone told Olga about that. She said on the ceremony that she is not ok with that because she can’t understand how a man who is on the project to fight for her can at the same time kinda lusting after other women. His excursion was that because of his „job“ he needs to do that. And he answered that they will find a way to make an arrangement regarding it. Olga answered that you will find a way I don’t want to make an arrangement with that.
