“We believe Shammah was abducted as retribution for an unpaid drug debt,” said Toronto police Superintendent Steve Watts, who heads up the Organized Crime, outside of 31 Division.

“Investigators believe Shammah’s brother owes a large debt in relation to a multi-kilo cocaine rip and has since fled the GTA.”

That's so frightening for the poor kid and his family, @GuardianAngel! I'm glad he was found safe.

Is anyone watching HBO's series "I'll Be Gone in the Dark"?  It's about the CA Golden State Killer.  So sad, but very interesting.

@pavalygurl oh my gosh! I read that book when I was in Florida on vacation a few years ago, and I admit it is one of the few books that totally creeped me out! laugh out loud I like reading true crime, but that one made me suspicious of everyone. They recently caught him after all these years. I won't spoil it but it was an amazing work by the FBI.

@GuardianAngel He only got 10 years in prison and was released after serving only 4? That is ridiculous. Apparently a human life isn't worth much.

@Sprite IA and his son is another story! Former cop, charged so many times with various issues, one including having sex on the hood of his cruiser. He's now a paralegal, go figure.
