Bachelorette Australia - Season 4 - Ali Oetjen - Screencaps - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

There are two different rings there, and I believe the second hands are Todd's hands. I was thinking. Ali is wearing a dress that is sooo different from those worn by Sophie, Georgia and Sam Frost. I don't really like Ali's  FRC dress but I would say that in terms of styling her dress should contrast the winner's dress. If the winner had a dark suit it wouldn't fit the fairytale theme IMO

@allaboutlove I too see Todd's hands but to me the second ring is Todd's ring. I think the first ring is Taite and those are his hands. I am so confused now :S

ETA: there are two different rings but the hands could be the same and aren't Ali's so could it be that it is the designer's hands?

@Popcorn For All There is only one ring shown in the preview - I took the two screenshots in quick succession.  IMO it's an engagement ring, they're Todd's hands, and he planned to propose (or at least, that's how the storyline will go...)

How interesting because to me they look like different rings, one looks thinner... I think I am thinking too much :S I have spent some time looking at their hands. I cannot see much difference between Todd and Taite's hands. Taite's hands are not as tan as his face or body, his beard makes him look far darker than what he is.

I wonder what they are trying to do. Also, where is Todd? I am going crazy :s

IDK though maybe just a red herring and both looking at rings and just a promo shot and that doesn't happen. I've looked at pics of Todd's thumbs and they look similar to me as in the SC. Taite seems to have more flatter tops to his thumbnails. Not sure I'd have to zoom in on some SCs to compare.

Worth noting also the ring is not on her right hand not left, so it's her engagement finger and the ring is not the one we see in the preview IMO.  If she was presented with that ring she would automatically assume it's engagement ring which would be very awkward IMO.  I think Taite's ring will be different (and probably OTT garish )

I don't think they've ever had both F2 contestants look at rings for the lead for BetteAU so this would be a first?  

I think the ring Ali is looking at on her finger could still look like the one in the SC or similar in style (the ring in SC looks closer to what Laura got from Matty J and I doubt they get a choice on anything as the ring(s)'s provided for them so just picking from those).  

The hands holding the ring in the SC look like Todd's to me. BUT I could be wrong and it is not a red herring and it is Taite holding the ring and the angle is off or misleading or something (IA flatter thumbnails for Taite is what I saw too and it stood out as Todd's thumbs to me)

For comparison, here's what Laura got from Matty. Very much an engagement ring style but a promise ring is what they called it





Matty putting it on right hand of Laura so Ali also on her right hand so similar to the SC of Ali with ring on her right hand that she is looking at

Isn't it a bit of a giveaway if only F1 picks a ring though?  I'm struggling to remember what happened with Georgia and Sam F?

@allaboutlove @bobette and @sprout I may be crazy but I see two different rings and I just showed it quickly to my husband and he told me these two are different rings, so please double check, they are different imo.

One is thicker and has holes that look like rectangles, the other one is the classic type and thinner:

Ring 1 (IMO thicker and with the rectangle shaped holes)


Ring 2 (IMO thinner)

I think it's just the angle @Popcorn For All.  It was a very short ad but I'm pretty sure the ring footage was all one shot.

How do you explain the same background and the same hands holding both?

Well, the angle surely changes the ring a lot :S unless they are trying to trick us and superimposing images to me they look different but what do I know, I am too dizzy with all this sleuthing already ;) I think I am enjoying a lot reading all your comments because I am becoming frustrated and grumpy and I don't like myself when I get all that way. This season is draining me

I am probably wrong, @sprout and @bobette is probably correct and that may be the angle. What I thought could be an explanation if the ring was different is having the ring designer there showing rings, I think in the US version the contestants go and sit with whoever the designer is and they are shown rings. Another thing I thought is that the producers are trying to trick us. Didn't they play with rings on BIP? They add many previews that are shown during commercials but some do not make them to the episode. Anyway, as I said, I am probably incorrect and it may be the angle, but initially I didn't pay much attention to the hands, the rings stood up Thanks for trying to help me clear my doubts though My head is going to explode. Sleuthing is addictive and it is affecting my sleeping patterns
