Yes. Not very far from where she currently lived. I’m shocked she would stay in the same general neighborhood. I guess maybe Garrett will move back to Reno/Lake Tahoe or live with his brother?

I gotta say I’m very shocked that they have put up such a happy front on their IG stories. I’ve followed these two from the beginning and I would have guessed they wouldn’t have appeared so happy and relatively unphased by this

I live in SD county, Carlsbad to be exact, and I believe this is where they’ve been living for awhile. Carlsbad is in northern SD and Coronado Island is less than an hour away in southern region. Its a tourist/resort town and part of it is a navy base. Frankly, it doesn’t make sense to me why she will move there? It’s more expensive and not that convenient to go in and out: you have to cross a bridge to go in town. Besides, with the pandemic going on, the town probably loses most of its income. So why?

Here’s the thing, police brutality isn’t a thing that the mainstream media has always covered, people had to fight, countless lives had to be lost in order to get to where we are today. COVID-19 has gotten the media coverage it has because it’s arguably the biggest story of our lifetime. It’s brought the world to a standstill. In addition to the hundreds of thousands of deaths worldwide, pro sports around the world was halted, tv shows & movies stopped filming, schools closed, major music festivals cancelled, the list goes on and on. Covid’s touched basically every part of our lives, obviously it’s going to covered heavily.

As for the other things mentioned in his list, maybe their fans can enlighten me if I’ve missed something but I’ve never heard Garrett speak up when there were so many people in the news dying because they were rationing their insulin because they can’t afford their medication. That’s a big pharma story.

In February of this year both CNN & the Washington Post had separate in depth articles about the Chinese concentration camps. The WaPo article chronicled how exactly the Chinese government was able to round up over a million people, predominantly muslims, into these camps. The CNN article included an interview with a woman whose family was in these camps, various documents showing records of the detainees, and maps showing where the camps are located. Interesting that Garrett who cares so much about this topic would’ve missed those articles .

Or how about a few years ago when Ashton Kutcher testified in front of the senate about human trafficking, it was carried live on virtually every news station at the time, as far as I know Garrett didn’t say anything about it. Then there was also that surviving R.Kelly docuseries that was part of a years long fight by predominantly black women to get justice for the young girls R. Kelly abused over the years. I remember that being a major story, trended on Twitter and was covered by pretty much every outlet/news source in the US & Canada. He was also silent then. Did he even watch?

It’s strange to me that these topics Garrett wants us to believe he’s so passionate about, there’s not a single instance of him speaking up or trying to bring awareness to these things prior to the one IG story from this morning. Is it possible that Garrett doesn’t actually care about these things beyond using them as a talking point to deflect from the topics currently in the news that he doesn’t like?

Garrett is pretty dense in my assessment so, he does what’s normal for people like him - regurgitates conspiracy theories and BS designed to serve as dog whistle messaging to people who don’t research, don’t understand, and don’t care that they’re manipulated mimics.
I can respect any view as long as it comes from earnest belief and knowledge. I don’t have to agree but, I respect the right of people to support a different view/perspective. However, I’ve never suffered fools gladly and cut and paste philosophy based on lies and conspiracies just make him look dumb but, he’s in lofty company. At the end of the day, Garrett’s a powerless foil and the least of our problems. Becca will have to pay a heavy price for her willingness to look the other way and play along. It’s a lesson she needs to learn. Her choice of where to live proves she is still stuck on stupid, IMO. I’m wishing her the best and certainly not envying her position. All IMO.

I had no idea where Coronado was so I googled it. As soon as I saw "resort town" I too wondered what made her choose that area. I live 15 minutes from Niagara Falls. If I don't have to go there in the summer, I avoid it.

I wonder if they just renewed a 1 yr lease when the house fell through. I would expect Garrett would move back to Reno. The ad says furnished, I also wonder if this is just for August until she sorts herself out because she doesn't want to go home.

When they were deciding where to live.... I remember Becca saying that they chose San Diego area as a good compromise because she could’ve lived in LA but that big of a city didn’t appeal to Garrett.
From what they shared... the only people they hung out with when they were home were Garret’s brother and wife.

When my sister broke up with her boyfriend, she stayed in the same area as the ex (she’s originally from a different state) but she had a career and made work friends that helped her stay. Becca has no reason to stay in that area with no close friends.
Maybe she’s changed her mind since this was posted.

Spending time apart just like Kaitlyn/Shawn and Colton/Cassie did and then months later split. The same might happen here as it seems like the motto for BN. I think it would be best more so for Becca's sake given everything Garret has done and said. I did like them together during her season and liked following them shortly after but lately I've just lost faith in them. Shame because Becca deserves a happy ending. JMO.

There are lots of little nice beach town in SD county, and even in Orange County too, which is north of SD and closer to LA. Some communities may not as expensive as Coronado.

Anyway, I guess I will wait and see.

@FMG2015 Yes, I was also surprised at her/cousin looking for rentals in Coronado area. Maybe if Garrett were staying in area, so that he could have time with Minno. But I get the idea Garrett may want to move to mountain area.

I wonder who else Becca is close to who lives in the area. I've heard them mention Garrett's brother/wife, but does she have local friends independent of them? If she wanted to stay in Ca I could see moving to LA area where Bekkah, Kendall and some of the women from Arie's season live. IDK.

Coach Krystal just moved out of San Diego but I think they were friendly with her. I’ve heard that Becca and Garrett were friends with someone she does her fitness stuff with but they’ve never shared hanging out with others in the SD/Carlsbad area with anyone else besides Garrett’s brother and wife.

Garrett may just crash as the live in nanny for his nephew when he’s in town and not make any big move right now. Idk what the EMS program he’s in if it’s specifically for CA. It appears he’s been gaining in networking with fishing and hunting people so he may just need a bed somewhere laugh out loud

I hope Becca finds a place where she is near people to support her. It appears she’s got a ton of friends back in Minnesota but I doubt she’d move back there due to her wanting to keep that money coming from bach franchise.

I’ve been really out of Bachelor nation loop, just cluing in a bit here on the status of Becca/Garrett. I’m shocked (not). This has been one of the most contentious years politically, in the midst of (one of? the most?) contentious and divided governments we’ve ever had. If you are political, which these two are, and on opposite ends and strongly so, this is the death knoll. I called this two years ago, their world views just didn’t line up. It’s so full circle to see them literally ending over those “mindless double taps” Rolling Eyes

after all.

JMO, but in the long run Becca is extremely better off here. As someone who probably is in line with B socially/politically, everything Garrett stands for is a MASSIVE deal breaker to me. Like honestly, the biggest deal breaker I can think of. I couldn’t live with that. Especially in this current climate. Hard pass. A lifetime with an ill-informed, vocal, racist. Thanks, but no thanks. Truly, she is better than that and deserves better for herself.

I just had a thought, not like rocket science or anything, but, I can't imagine wanting to break up with a fiancé and first having to run it through a PR person first. I remember the Andi Dorfman debacle tap-dance. I guess that is the price to pay for going on reality tv.

I think it's all about timing. If they are splitting, they will wait till they are free from TPTB and make an announcement their way otherwise I would think it would have to be done according to TPTB verbiage? I'm guessing, I don't know for sure.

Becca now owes her entire livelihood to SM and her following is based on the couple created from two stints of the Bachelor franchise. She must be VERY careful to break up in a way that does not cause her fan base to lose interest and definitely not cause lots of fans to unfollow her. She’s tiptoeing through a minefield. She caused people to care about Garrett. His views are controversial but, not unique. Many of their followers agree with him and will resent her if it’s clear that disagreement in basic values was a major factor in their breakup. I’m pretty sure it was one of many reasons but it’s too late to make that case in this political environment. Their narrative should be more about his willingness to let her work her butt off for the past two years while he and Minno played cheerleader but, she made him seem like Prince Charming instead of a big lazy oaf willing to live off her, forever. Now, he’s taking pictures with an EMS training manual so, that narrative is compromised. He looks like the defender and member of first responders and she looks like...?

Her publicists have not been able to do their jobs either because she’s so conflicted or, they’re lousy at it or maybe because they’ve done such a good job of making them a perfect couple. In any case, at the end of the day, I think her personal popularity will preserve most of her following and his true views as they’re being revealed will likely net him the following he’s after so, it may work out. I hope so, for her sake. Garrett, I couldn’t dislike more because I just hate everything he represents but, he’s in a very precarious position and exacting damage she can’t control with all the power she herself gave him. What a MESS! She will have to learn to think and to choose men with Her head. Everything else gets you in trouble.
