Bachelorette 14 - Becca Kufrin - Episode 11 - Aug 6th FRC - ATFR - #2 *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Wonder why Arie footage not shown!?! My thoughts ...it was filmed before SM drama ...tptb decided to not further involve Arie in this shi!tshow because they want to in some way cash in on Arie and Lauren’s wedding ...claiming it as a Bach success. I wouldn’t be surprised if they struck a deal to keep him out of this fiasco of a season.

It sounded to me the whole point of filming Arie/Becca was to continue the drama.
It sounded IRL as if the meeting did not generate the desired effect and so was not incorporated in the final draft. Jmo

I definitely agree that Becca made the right choice. Who knows if they'll last forever, but I always felt like Blake would have been just as obsessed and in love, no matter who the lead had been. Garrett's connection to her seemed pretty specific to her and I didn't think he would have been going crazy had it been Kendall or Tia or Bekah in that Bachelorette role. And I think he truly cared for her, in a less showy way than we're used to. The fact that he said "if their connection is stronger, I'll be happy because she'll be happy" opposed to Blake "I don't think he can make you as happy as I can" was pretty telling. I still like the guy (as I think he did take that back at AFR), but it just shows that Garrett's immediate priority was Becca and not his own feelings and happiness. Pretty darn romantic. 

I do think Blake probably need therapy more than he needs the Bachelor gig and I'm pretty sure I'll spend all season snarking on the guy because he's like Andi-era Nick (except even more ridiculous), but I still want someone who has that sincerity and wants to find love and doesn't appear so calculated and rehearsed. And I don't think I'll get that from anyone but him out of Becca's guys, IMO.

And, man, Becca must be pretty amazing considering how the guys are all still in love with her! That amazingness didn't really translate on TV, as she always came off kind of basic to me, but she does seem universally beloved by everyone that meets her! IMO.

Becca & Garret may or may not make it but she clearly picked the guy she fell for. I don’t particularly like that they’re talking about moving to L.A. because that’s not been a good place for couples at the beginning of their relationship.

I'm really behind but have they said L.A. specifically or just "California"? I think his brother's in San Diego so maybe that's more what they have in mind.

No one wants to see Arie again. So glad they cut that out. I’d be happy to never see Arie on my tv again. IMO

Wasn't there a lead who swapped rings because she didn't like the original? I would do that if I were Becca. After all she'd have to wear it for the next 6mths!

I happen to like her ring.  It's different from what they usually give.  I liked this one more than the one Blake picked.

IMO Becca should exchange the ring if she doesn’t like it. Presumably it’s hers forever. The design is very similar

I have also said that Garrett, say what you will about him, was in this for Becca specifically. I have never heard any contestant so specifically detail the reasons why they were attracted to the lead. Never! If it had been anyone else, I don't think he would have reacted like this.

Blake on the other hand, IMO was totally in bubble love. I think he would have been the same if it had been another bette. All his reasons for falling were very generic and I did not like that he said that Garrett couldn't make her as happy. The difference between the two guys to a possible rejection was night and day. Now he did do a good job on the AFTR, but he did have several months to think about how he had come across and that he was possibly in the running for the next lead. I do think he is a genuine guy, but he seems way too intense and emotional for my taste. I could easily see him being clingy in a relationship which is probably the biggest turn off for me personally.

I have always liked Becca and it is clear that she is a very special person because all the guys have been so positive about her throughout and pretty much everyone she meets has nothing but good things to say about her. I like that they are going to go to Minnesota and Reno for a while and then probably settle somewhere neutral for a few years. They were not specific about it being LA...just generic California. What I did notice is that she qualified it … for a couple of years. So not forever. Perhaps they already have some possible plans. Either way, I hope she found her happiness. This may actually be a couple who I will be curious to follow post show.

Garrett addressing his SM were just words IMO ...words he was told to say .... I think the woe is me part was all him though ... complaining about all the flack he was getting for “double tapping”.  That phrase is him minimizing his viewpoint ..blaming the original poster, and him liking it, just means it’s an area he needs to grow   I’ve seen enough of him on my tv screen .....
