Eh, they all fame whore, even on different levels none are exempt. That's not enough reason for me to dislike any of them though based solely on that otherwise what would I watch for my trashy tv!

Yeah looking at the rumoured cast I think TPTB are hoping for a girl/girl couple this season, especially with Alex in the mix.  She's IMO one of the most fame hungry contestants of the lot and I can see her pursuing that storyline if it was hinted in auditions that it would secure her a place.  JMO

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw they had mentioned Alex. She's really changed her looks. I totally agree with your opinion of Jake ad Megan. I have my fingers crossed neither one will be on there. I would love it if they went with a lot more newer people and less older contestants

I agree Sprout! I used to like her but after her BIP antics last season I don't want to see her on TV again. I also wonder about her visa. Unless she has a permanent job Australia doesn't have 'reality TV' visas.

There would literally be no BIP if it was not for Sam F because there would've been no Bachelorette without Sam F (not my words, the TEN executives said so). No Bette, then no male cast. Can't have BIP without at least some males.

O/T Sam Frost was the best thing that ever happened to the AU franchise imo. Her Bette season has the highest ratings for BachAU and BetteAU other than Sophie who came on as a celebrity. Sophie highest then SamF second highest ratings for ALL Bach/Bette shows. Both of them more than all the male leads. Sam's season is also the only season that has been nominated for a Logie (and she has been individually nominated for a Logie for H&A). TEN thanked their lucky stars for her   jmo

@Sundy exactly  She deserves a chance too! I thought it showed how lovely she was by going to Sophie and letting her know she hadn't won either. A mean girl (or even a neutral one) would have not done that and instead made the F2 believe he'd picked someone over her. I think it said a lot about Britt's character that she wanted her friend Soph to know it wasn't anything wrong with her. I'd rather watch her than the retreads who have already been on two shows

I concur @bobette imo Elise won't go and although I never liked Elise much (she bored me), I think she is happy with her boyfriend and she doesn't seem to be interested in staying as a 'reality TV celebrity' so good on her, it seems to me she has taken the wise path. I was just checking old news and I believe Blake Garvey despises The Bachelor franchise. I just checked and according to Now to Love this is what he said last year and I see no reason for a change of mind: 'No way, no how, no chance am I going on Bachelors in Paradise. Exactly, @allaboutlove I concur! IMO, some of the contestants go there for the experience and some others for both fame and the experience, Jake probably stated in the former category, although he did not apply, the producers approached him. IMO, at least Jake uses his fame mostly to promote awareness for different charities, especially cancer related, whereas Megan uses it primarily for her own benefit. The worse I have seen of Jake 'fame-whoring' was while he was with Megan that is why I would never understand why he went from falling for Georgia (a smart, nice woman) to falling for Megan ( not very bright and not that nice imo). I think he wants love badly, he may be feeling very lonely without the woman of his life, who imo, was his mother. Besides, in my modest opinion, Megan pretends not to like the drama but she loves it, while Jake tries to avoid dramas and his social skills are definitely better than Megan's because as I mentioned before every other contestant and even Georgia and Lee seem to like him a lot, so that speaks favourably of Jake IMO.

Just my opinion but I feel like everything Britt did on Nick's season was highly calculated. I think everything she said and did was in the service of winning (she admitted she was competitive so I'm not purely pulling that one out of the air). Most of what she said sounded like lines, poorly delivered. I think she's "nice", but nice is kind of meh. In retrospect I think I preferred watching the villains of the season.

I think what she did after finding out Sophie wasn't chosen either, was pretty much what anyone would have done in that situation tbh. I don't think it was anything particularly remarkable. Maybe it would have been, if the fellow F2 was a girl she hadn't been close with the whole time.

However I'm prepared to change my mind in paradise. They often come across very differently and more "real" and true to what their actual personality is on that show. I'm very keen to have my mind changed on many of the current crop of contestants!
