I do understand you have every right to your opinion as I have mine . I am the one that stated damn if they do and damn if they don't. I say that about most couples or individuals that go through this process. I never one stated that I thought they are special snowflakes . I come on here to state my opinion and do not appreciate being snarked at by posters. JMO  It is just a show to me !

I wasn't snarking at you or anyone else's post nor have I read any other poster in the thread recently snarking at you.  And as a mod, I read them all. I certainly do snark at the people that choose to go on this show though.  If you feel some posts are, your more than welcome to pm me or any other mod for discussion of it or use the report button on a post.

It's a general discussion thread so all thoughts are welcome - good, bad, ugly, sad, etc.  whether we all agree, disagree or agree to disagree.  Everyone should feel welcome to post.  No one should feel as if they should not post whether they like/dislike or follow a couple or not.

Now back to Arie and Lauren...

I find myself going around after you @whit90 and agreeing with what you are saying. IMO, you are right....dammed if they do and dammed if they don't. Get the message that nothing they do/say is right. I am glad that they are getting to know their new neighbors, enjoying life and just plain well having fun. Good for them!! All IMO

NM Fabulous Arizona has nothing to do with dogs. I thought they were the ones that sponsored the event.

But Arie makes fun of those who shill and that is the problem. IMO. They IMO are unlikable hypocrites.

That was in the past and I highly doubt that he does now . I am sure when the opportunities  came to him he understood why others do. I only seen him schill and Lauren too are resorts that they have had the great opportunity to stay at. Lauren also tags her clothes because so many ask where she got her clothes. People do change once they have been on this show. I understand that we will disagree on this matter and you have your right to your opinion . I am one that if I do not care for a couple or contestant I just don't follow. Guess getting to old for the drama   JMO

I don't have a problem with Arie shilling like he is.  He's not doing anywhere near what many others from the franchise did. Not to mention that he's never said anything in  a long time about schilling neither.  IMO, the pair are very happy, in love and living their lives.  The way they live them may not be the same as others or up to the standards of others but at the same time.....it is THEIR lives.  They are super happy so that's good enough for me.  ALL IMO

To me shilling is shilling no matter who or what it is.....

I pop in every so often to see if there is anything new about this couple. I'll preface this with I disliked Arie intensely during Emily's season because I felt he was led around by TPTB (especially with his prior relationship to a producer).

Everyone from this franchise does some type of shilling, I just read in Kait & Shawn's thread that Shawn's socks are by Reebok and yes Kaitlyn has tagged her Romper. I'm sure if I went to other threads we would see the same. Ash and JP hawked their kids shower and birthday parties by having them sponsored. In this day and age even those producing goods for the Royal family hawk that they are doing the job. My firm buys space in brochures that are for charities, it's all about getting your name out there and making opportunities for yourselves.

Arie and Lauren are going to be on "The View" this Wednesday, May 23rd.

I don’t like shilling, but I acknowledge it is part of the show. Regardless, don’t make fun of others for doing it, then turn around and do it yourself. That is my issue, the hypocrisy of Arie. One more way Arie shows what a jerk he is. He is honestly one of the most self centered and least empathetic people to ever come on this franchise. All IMO.

I know we all won’t like the same people, but for me and me alone, I try to be honest about myself and others. And I just don’t see the good in these two people. Each time I get close to neutral they show me once again why I dislike them. I don’t expect others to share that opinion. JMO.

And I like a good love story. I am happy to see people happy, just not when that happiness seems to constantly be at others cost. JMO.

I won't even get into "quality" shilling vs not. At this point it doesn't even matter to me. I actually thought the idea of a dog party was cute and fun. My issue with the whole thing was that I feel the original invite was misleading. When I read it seemed to me as if Lauren was putting together this fun little dog date as a way of meeting new people in her new neighbourhood. Now it could be my fault for jumping to that conclusion based on what some people were saying in the thread. Instead it was at some fancy resort with an event planner and it all appears to be pretty much compt. Now I don't care if it was all compt. I just wonder why it wasn't put on the original invite that it was at the Scott Resort and Spa? It just seems misleading IMO and that is what bugs me. Also, when I looked at the pics from the event, I don't really see anyone enjoying themselves but Lauren and Arie and their dogs. There is just a picture of two other dogs who are tagged. Where is everyone else? It just seems strange to me for a resort to host this event and then not have pictures of guests enjoying themselves. Wouldn't they want to promote how much fun people were having and maybe tag more people in the photos as a way of promoting the resort and assorted businesses? It just seems strange to me.

Dog parties are fairly popular in the south. Here they are excuses for sorority girls or wannabe sorority girls to hang out and drink. I was invited to a couple during both my graduate school experiences. Not really my thing, but most enjoyed them. Of course this was way over the top and looked more like one of their dress up events than hanging out and getting to know people. IMO.

It seems their social occasions are all sponsored events. IMO. Good thing Arie ragged on others then turns around and acts just like those he mocked, which he did in February, so not that long ago JMSO.
