I actually think the venue is shooting themselves in the foot by not letting a re-schedule or by saying no.MommaSez wrote:Rescheduling due to an illness or emergency, sure thing. People can understand. Rescheduling over a flight of fancy? Rude and honestly, just bad business. If I were running a place that books D- and E-list "celebs" like A&L, I'd seriously think twice now. Are they worth the potential hassle? I'd worry that they might find something shiny before a scheduled event and cancel at the last minute. They're only shooting themselves in the foot with these selfish antics. Good for them.
IMO
These listers bring in fans which bring in $$$$. I know of at least 3 incidences where cast were supposed to show up at venues in my area (metro NYC) and they canceled at the last minute.
One time they had not even notified the venue--I actually called the venue to ask what was going to happen since the couple had broken up and it appeared it was still listed on their venue that week as an event. The venue had no clue the couple had broken up and said "thanks I guess we need to look into this".
These cast and couples bring in money to these places for simply showing up, taking some photos with fans and giving out autographs etc. The venue has little to loose and much to gain especially if the M&G is in an open common area like a mall or casino vs a bar/restaurant.
I guess if the cast person/couple is needing the money that badly that they get from these events they wouldn't think of doing it, but all that I have known that have done this(cancel last minute), it's like swatting a pesky fly away. No sweat off their backs.
No good deed goes unpunished.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, bye Felicia!

Let your yes mean yes. Simple as that for anyone. Looks like Libby is being a Queen B and it’s just fine with me. Maybe Airy is getting his karma after all

Tahiti is 7,000 miles from Hong Kong, and a 14 h direct flight (can't even find any direct ones). I wouldn't really say it's in the neighbourhood. And what was the purpose of the Hong Kong trip? That seemed like a spontaneous getaway as well. Seems to me like these two are doing their very best to postpone real life. Call me weird, but I can't imagine inconveniencing that many people, fans and event organisers included, just because I want to prolong a vacation, especially when it's the 5th (?) vacation in 2 months. Some people just baffle me with their self-centredness. JMO.

I'm a graphic designer, so maybe it's just me, since meeting deadlines and honoring commitments are part of my brand and reputation. However, if I were a promoter, I'd think twice about booking people that have reputations for being "no-shows." Arie has already backed out of 2 of these things (Panama and now these Canada events). I know it's probably par for the course. But I'd be looking elsewhere for my celebs - especially since so many others in the BN are thirsty, too. IMO

Is it a surprise that Arie breaks engagements ? Is it a surprise that Libby seems behind some of these broken engagements ? No surprise here. It’s just LiArs being LiArs says I snarkingly

I honestly just don't even understand the concept of paying your hard earned money to see Arie & Lauren of all people. It's befuddling to me. But it's just another example of how little they respect others. That's why no matter how happy they might seem as a couple, I'll never respect or root for them. All Jmo.

I doubt I'd every pay to see anyone from bach nation, but I personally wouldn't walk across the street to see these two if it was free. That said, you'd think since they are not the most well loved in Bach nation, they would be nice to the fans and followers they had and actually show up. I'm glad they at least rescheduled, but following threw on commitments would be nice, IMO. Extending vacay for somewhere tropical does not qualify for some major, pressing event, emergency or a good reason to cancel, IMO.
I wish them well as I do ever other couple from the show. I'd never wish ill will on anyone. But these two and their continued self absorbed actions just make them more and more unlikeable to me.

Their lack of empathy or compassion for literally anyone but themselves baffles my mind. It’s just so gross. Jmo. They can be be as happy as they want but they are ugly on the inside (imo) and I’ll never root for that.

I am just amazed at how these people on Reddit watch their every move, especially the non-fans.

Two selfish and self-centred people acted in a selfish and self-centred way? (Pretends to be shocked gif ) IMO JMO

I'm beginning to think that Arie is just a stepping stone for Lauren on her way to a "gold-digger" career and lifestyle. Is this how Anna Nicole Smith got started? IMO

No doubt it is a luxury to live the high life, but I don't see Arie driving a Rolls Royce or wearing a Rolex watch or owning a yacht. Isn't that what the upper class do? I don't see Lauren as a gold digger. Jmo.
