He's been off SM since forever, so it's extremely likely. And yes, he's a total unicorn!

Saw a post on Reddit about more insight into "Fin", a company John is an engineer at and helps develops using AI. It's basically an on demand assistant service.

The company is also doing a mini series interviewing people leading a busy lifestyle and their life hacks on being productive and how they are able to do more. John was featured on one of the episodes.


I noticed the video above was posted on June 8. I'm not sure when he actually filmed the series or if it actually has any bearing on the timing of BIP. Who knows - he might not actually be on BIP and just enjoying life free of social media

John went silent on IG on June 4th.

IMO, the video posted on June 8th was probably shot before he left then edited before posting. Apparently they posted 5 videos under their "Drip Tips" that same day.

ETA:  in a season of duds, John’s one of the brightest lights.  I don’t need sophomoric humor.  Give me a smart, caring, genuine guy every day of the week.

For anyone interested... John is doing an AMA on reddit this morning.

He sounds so nice on his AMA and exactly like how his personality would be. Interesting tidbit that he stands by Garrett 100%.

I thought he came off really kind and easy-going in the AMA...but he also came off super, super naive. He said things like how the producers are on your side and repeatedly called them wonderful people. IMO.
