Bachelorette 14 - Becca Kufrin - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

For me the question is subjective. I think the vetting process where production casts contestants who have criminal court cases is a greater infraction for the franchise than filming contestants involved in consensual inappropriate behavior JMO

TPTB shot themselves in themselves in the foot this season.  When you can’t protect the ending of this show, you’ve got nothing,  You had one job.

In addition, there’s a lead who says lines so flat it’s as if like she’s reading from a script.  Her focus on her late father (he was mentioned 3 times in last week’s episode) and finding a man just like him is too much.

A F1 who’s so OTT in his facial expressions and so immature in some of his actions and some of his comments (“I’ve never felt a love like this.  I can see myself getting down on one knee.”)  Dude, we’re 13 days in.

A cast which includes someone convicted of sexual assault, someone who’s done soft porn and filmed bigoted “comic” vids and someone who’s followed IG accounts and liked not 1, not 2, but more than 10 of their hateful posts in the past year.

These are not outlier contestants.  They finish F7, F5 and F1 respectively.  They all get considerable airtime.

A majority of other cast who I think are too young for Becca - David, Connor, Jordan, Ryan (although he may be very mature, we just didn’t see it).

And to top it off, the one thing that could keep suspense going, they flat out blew.

It’s one really bad season.

Totally agree with your post. IMO this is the worst season to date. The Lead is boring and she has a horrible group of guys. I like some of them Sorry I do like Colton    Joe, Jason and Blake and a couple of others. But the majority Nah !

I love Nicks and Jared’s recaps of the show they are so much better than this season.JMO

I agree with you both. I don’t think we are alone and that this accounts for the quietness. Pin drop.

I'm not posting as much as I might have in past seasons but not because of Becca. I think I've said what I could about my feelings on some of the guys without being forever banned

Can't help but think of JoJo's group of guys. Luke, Chase and Robby in the Final 4....glad she found happiness but the guys, to me and to JoJo seemed meh.

That is one season I did not watch only know of the guys through this board. I have no idea how JoJo was as a lead but I currently follow her now and absolutely think she is just a awesome woman. I also love her and Jordan’s relationship and can’t leave out Jackson !

Despite Jojo’s guys, I liked her season. IMO this group of guys with a few exceptions makes that season look that much better.

I didn’t watch JoJo’s season, but I like her with Jordan.  They seem like a great couple.  I think what’s so frustrating to me is that TPTB are solely casting for BIP now, not Bachelor and Bachelorette, IMO.  These contestants don’t appeal to me at all.

Give me Jason Tartick, Ryan Sutter, JP Rosenbaum, Constantine Tzortis, Chris Sigfried, John Wolfner, Drew Kenney, Chris Lambton, Roberto Martinez any day.  This season’s group (besides Jason, Clay and John) is a far cry from what I want to see on my screen.

Quoting you Kasha, but also @whit90 and @alwaystulips. I wondered why the board was so quiet this season. The episode thread which usually has considerable pages, was showing 30 when I logged on Tuesday. I started this season enthusiastically, but am now finding myself falling asleep less than 30 minutes into the episode.

I actually enjoy Becca's season a lot. Just don't feel the need to post in the discussion threads as much

Me too, @BohemianNika I don’t post much on the episode thread because I prefer to watch the show without reading posts and then after I don’t have time to read it all.
