considering that this franchise has some kind of "play book" for dates , i guess i have seen where the coveralls and Timbs have been involved before. But memory escaped me rn

i believe Ryan is a landscaper. Ashley's JP is a construction professional, a sexy one.

They did construction on an orphanage on Ashley’s season.

If you look at Ryan the banjo guys IG he seems to be very artsy - jmo

IMO Ryan isn't "the major player" in the 1st week ... he may know how to play the tunes, but he isn't the "frontman" - JMO - so I don't expect him to be on the 1st date and it seems he also isn't the recipient of FIR. Now in terms of the instrument I would define him as the bass player, undertone, essential for a good melody, but often underappreciated ... we'll see where he "lands".
ETA: this reminds how Des handed out her 1st impression rose to Ben (who came with a kid, not a horse) and then handed some more roses (Chris I believe didn't get it) and her 1st 1:1 was with Brooks (wedding theme, her major).
