Personally, I think a person can be thought of as nice and that would be separate from giving them a pass on other behavior. A person is not one dimensional. They have faults. 
IMO you can be a nice person and still make mistakes and that does not mean they would be given a pass just because they are nice. There are women out there that do things. This is not just a man thing. In either case, they can be nice or not nice. It does not excuse or give carte blanch to other behavior. 
Because of A does not mean B. IMO.
