Bachelor 22 - Arie Luyendyk Jr - Episodes - Feb 26 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. It seem to me, TPTB have more and more a hand in what goes on ATFR to stir the pot than they use to.

What if Becca broke up with Ross to go on the show? What if she had the same motive just like last season’s F2? Would that make her a cheater? There really are lots of possibilities. All Jmo

Probably not my only comment on this extended preview but I have to admit I did chuckle when the ex introduced himself "I'm Ross" and Arie replied "Hey Russ".

@sdmom IA.  Lots of possibilities.  This is why I wanted to know if she had spoken previously about her ex.  Do we know the timing of their breakup or circumstances of her casting?  Could she have broken up with her ex to go on the show because she thought Peter was cast as the lead?  JMOAA

Yeah, could be something along these lines.. there has to be something that makes Arie think to himself that his actions were at least a tiny bit justfied, or he wouldn't be so brazen in all his public declarations regarding him being so happy and so in love NOW, IMO. Unless something more went down, this would be incredibly insensitive towards Becca. Honestly, I can't wait to see how it all plays out. Except if Becca will be Bachelorette, we will only ever be shown her as the innocent blindsided and heartbroken victim.

I have a vague recollection of that same situation happening on an episode of Friends.

IMO it was heavily "produced" - a combination of some live footage, some B-roll footage and ITM and voice overs all intended to create a viewer perception. But it seemed to me that no one had any skin in the game. I felt like Ross was reciting his lines with about the same acting skills and monotone of an 8th grade school play and Arie was near equally devoid of emotion. A guy goes after a woman he loves enough to propose to her and that's all the passion he feels? TPTB / Ross are selling but I'm not buying; I can't wait to see how this goes down when he actually proposes to Becca - does he show passion? Is he crushed when she turns him down. Does she show passion? Does she show anything because when she answered the door I got nothing from her; IMO her face showed as much expression as some of these actresses who have had multiple plastic surgeries (not for a minute do I think Becca's had work - just that she couldn't have been more deadpan than she was). IMO Nick and Shawn managed at least some passionate exchanges over Kaitlyn but this just seems like no one cared.

I also shake my head over the notion that he went to Arie in the first place - almost like a guy asking a girl's father for her hand in marriage. IMO he doesn't need Arie's permission and he doesn't need to tell Arie anything. IMO only in the strange world of this show would something like this happen and it just smacks of a story board.

Becca is a fan of Friends. Life imitating art those twisted producers !
