Bachelor 22 - Arie Luyendyk Jr - F1-F2 Switch-A-Roo- What happened - NO Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

I think it is as simple as Becca was the sure thing, TPTB were going to get a proposal no matter what happened. Arie played it safe and followed his head (with production whispering in his ear, most likely telling him Lauren would never accept your proposal), so he proposed to Becca. Maybe he tried to find that passion with Becca post-show, but he kept thinking of Lauren. Enter switcheroo and ratings gold.

sorry i don't know if i should but heck i will add this - IMO if becca is in on this plan then give her an oscar! she could be the next meryl streep not the next bachette because those tears in that promo sound pretty bloody real to me....i just can't see becca who to me comes across like a pretty genuine, down to earth girl, going along with some plan just to be the next bachette ? but hey maybe i am too naive....though i could see arie going along with this idea but not telling the girls about it -

Arie got worried since he now realized that Lauren had two failed engagements . She’s the Runaway Fiancé . Becca was a “solid” choice made more enticing when Arie’s competitive nature couldn’t let her Ex steal her away . Arie silently whispers, It’s not over till Arie says it’s over. After the FRC Arie remembers what it was like to be heartbroken at F2 so he tries to connect with Lauren. His handler calls him out on exploring the greener looking pasture. CH intervenes and Arie says since he couldn’t have extra HTDs, can he have another Finale ?Having extra film and time to re-edit and rewrite the script , they allow the rewind , retarded as it seems.  Becca gets rejected at SHV and the crew trots on over to VA for another private (albeit film crew there) HTD/FRC combo. Meanwhile in the storyboard room, the pegboard shows everything has worked out as manipulated planned. Season saved by increased viewers.

I bet Becca will do much better with his family. Is his whole family going to Peru? He does love his family, so that could confuse him.

Arie goes into HTD's in love with both Becca and Lauren. Becca's family accepts him and all goes well. In contrast, Lauren's family make it clear they don't approve, and the HTD goes horribly wrong, casting doubt with both Arie and Lauren.

Arie still wants Lauren despite it all, but Lauren, with her family's disapproval and her previous broken engagements on her mind, turns down his proposal at the FRC (or gets cold feet the night before and leaves before the FRC). This leaves Arie with Becca as his F1.

His breakup with Becca happens as she realizes Arie still very much has Lauren on his mind, and he mistakenly calls Becca "Lauren" by accident, (haha, guess I'm still thinking of Canadian Bachelor Chris and that fiasco!) Anyways, that seals the deal for Becca....BahBye Arie, as she shows him the door.

Lauren realizes she does still love Arie and is willing to give it another shot, and agrees to date him.

This is all a combination of my speculation, my opinions and guesses just from my personal view on the sleuthing so far.

Lauren is cast due to suspected picture/meeting Arie prior

Becca is cast, ex contacts TPTB or vice versa - scripted ex storyboard is written - ex offers info about Becca

Filming starts - After first night, TPTB ask Arie who are the top 4 (potential HTD orders, and slotting the dates) Arie states Lauren is #1 Becca #2 and others

Filming ends - spoilers are out

Sleuthers noticed Arie liking Lauren's SM early December.

Premiere - over a month goes by

Lauren has a skimpy entrance, quick, 2 - 3 seconds, no mention of the suspected picture.

Becca gets 1st 1:1 Becca gets a fantastic date - clothes shoes jewellry- first date of the season goes out with a bang, for the spoiled F1, viewers are feeling true love is in the air.

No other F1 gets the first 1:1. Courtney Ben's season got the second 1:1 of the 2nd epi.

Viewers expecting Becca to be the F1 due to spoilers, but now watching the epi's, it appears he wanted Lauren.

Less than three weeks after filming Arie is liking Lauren's SM. Arie tells TPTB he's not happy. Things won't work with Becca, he needs to contact Lauren.

By this time viewers are confused why he didn't choose Lauren to begin with, but if you think you know the spoilers, just watch. A dramatic turn of events, Arie fell in love with two people but was conflicted. Lauren wasn't sure she was on the same page as him.  He split with Becca big coincidence they caught it all on film. He reached out to Lauren. Big coincidence they have it all on film. Storyboard complete, on to the next season.

So what if Becca's ex-boyfriend was the determining factor for Arie? What I know clinically is that a triangular relationship is fertile ground for the triggering factor. What I also know is that the wounded part of us can often get mistaken by ourselves for our gut. I think throughout the season Arie has been secure/confident in Becca's feelings for him. Ex-boyfriend shows up - Arie is triggered by past feelings of rejection (e.g. Emily choosing Jef) and the thought of losing someone again is so overwhelming that he mistakes that as his gut telling him that Becca is the one (he hears Sean's reminder to use as his gauge the one he can't bear to be without). After he gets out of the bubble, he realizes that his own fears/insecurities led his to the decision rather than Becca actually being his true love. That said, I think he genuinely did love Becca but through my lens it's apparent that Lauren is the one with whom he is in love.

We will find out soon enough how Becca became Arie's F1 when it was clear as day it should've been Lauren.

Per RS, we know Arie told Becca he had feelings for Lauren.  I think he assured Becca he had worked through them and all was good between them.

There are deleted pictures out there of them during sanctioned and unsanctioned SHV's.  I think there were more SHV that didn't make SM.

Based on Becca's SM, and her family/friends SM, all was good.  Her posts in LV sounded like a woman who was happy.  I believe she was looking forward to the SHV that weekend with Arie.

I believe Arie blindsided Becca with the film crew and breakup when she got to the SH.  I don't think the subliminal digs at Arie by her friends and family on SM, after the breakup, would've happened if Becca felt they were having any problems beforehand.

I have no problem with Arie and Lauren.  Regardless of how things happened between Arie and Lauren before the FR, he shouldn't have proposed to Becca if he was that conflicted.  Obviously, he was by creeping on Lauren's SM so soon after the FRC.

I am not holding my breath, but I hope Arie and Lauren make it. Otherwise, a whole lot of heartache happened for nothing.

I thought Jillian had received the first 1:1 during that 2nd episode and Melissa the 2nd 1:1.
