Re: Bachelor 22 - Arie Luyendyk Jr - Episodes - Feb 5th - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*
So are some people thinking TPTB encouraged him to pursue a relationship with Lauren after his break up with a Becca to give the show a “happy ending”? Seems like hardly any time passed between the break up with Becca and filming with Lauren. Seems pretty inconsiderate to me.
I thought Arie was supposed to be so decisive. Didn’t he say that was one of his strengths? #JustNotReady IMO

@Rolly I'm thinking they messed with him. Maybe he wanted Lauren, but they had other plans according to their storyboard. Perhaps they led him to believe Lauren wouldn't accept a proposal, she wasn't interested in him, IDK.
What I do find suspicious, as I've mentioned before, during sleuthing it was unusual that a F1 would get the first 1:1 and the switch up with the F2 who just so happens to have the same epi date as another F1 (Sean's season).
Arie liking Lauren's SM posts and the fact that the filming crew were at Lauren's, when compared to Jason's season, he wasn't allowed to discuss anything with Molly because they wanted it on camera on the ATFR. This time, they made sure they got it on camera?
Thanks to @Lucas15, MF commenting that Jason will probably get married, he seems very happy, in an interview where they were already broken up, but not aired yet.
I was looking for something else and came across this. Just to add to my suspicion that this was planned.

I was on the boards then and remember things well. But the thing was that MF really was pretty nonchalant about what he had on film, at least initially. In an interview he all he said was that he expected to see a wedding because the couple seemed very much in love. At the time I knew Jason had picked Melissa and simply assumed that MF was talking about Jason & Melissa but later on learned that he was really talking about Jason and Molly because the interview took place AFTER the breakup had been filmed. Harrison was similarly nonchalant and only said that what Jason did took guts which made no sense to me at the time and only did after I learned about the breakup.
That season got huge online only after RS revealed that there was a breakup and switch of who Jason was with; before that was known TPTB were pretty tame about what they knew to be an explosive ending.

Even if TPTB messed with him I just still can't feel any sympathy for him in all this. He's been played by TPTB before with the Bachelor role. No reason he should trust anything they have to say. JMO.

@bluwavz IA I don't care one way or the other, I'm just trying to sleuth according to their unoriginal storyboard. It's been a long time since a switch a roo season. Time to bring it back? IDK

@GuardianAngel , If this is following a storyboard/line, Arie would be the perfect stooge for Deja vu all over again . 5 or 6 year anniversary of the original switch. So Becca set up as collateral damage and possible pimping for the next Bette. How could Lauren ever have anything to do with Arie knowing how low he was willing to stoop ? Or is this kind of info kept from her and Arie starts their relationship off in such a deceitful way? Would TPTB be helping Arie by doing their part to lay groundwork for Lauren to accept Arie or do you think that interaction would be all on Arie not knowing Lauren’s response ? I won’t lie, this all sounds so cray!

IA no sympathy at this point from me. Maybe something down the road will will change my mind, but I very seriously doubt it.
IMO, this is Arie being Arie. More than likely he got bored, the grass looked greener on the other side, wanted to have his cake and eat it too, etc. Totally matches his speculated, rumored (which may not be so rumored after all ) MO. I don't dislike the guy, I just can't defend him.
And if it was all scripted and he willingly went along with it while spouting off about being so, so happy immediately after everything went down, well that makes him look worse, totally insensitive and even more shady, IMO. Don't see how he or LB ever thought it was a good idea, they'd come out of this looking good or be favored and not roadkill.

The thing is he has already shown himself to be indecisive.Rolly wrote:So are some people thinking TPTB encouraged him to pursue a relationship with Lauren after his break up with a Becca to give the show a “happy ending”? He gave Bekah reasons why they shouldn’t be together then gave her her 1-1 rose and made out.
He repeatedly keeps Krystal even when he’s upset enough with her to tell her in her bathrobe scene that she should stay in her room and he’ll see her in a couple days but she refuses to stay in timeout and shows up. Still gets a RC rose.
As to being malleable by TPTB, he did lick 2 bowling balls for the camera - an 8 and a 10 - so he does appear very trusting of production

Of course, based on the tweets being sent during the scene, we have a feeling that there isn’t a ton of crossover between Bachelor viewers and fans of The Big Lebowski. The latter, by the way, came out when Bekah M. was only three-years-old… So that’s something!

Arie has been through this silly show before so he knows how TPTB work and how they manipulate. Even if they tried to make him believe Lauren wouldn’t get engaged didn’t they have discussions in the fantasy suite so he’d know where she stood? Is it in their contract that they have to accept a proposal if they make it to the final two?
So TPTB would push him to his F2 just for the drama? If that’s true these people are really sick. But Arie is a big boy and these are his decisions. If Lauren was the one he wanted all along he caused a lot of turmoil and heartache if at the finale he chose Becca. Will we ever really know what happened?
These “engagements” are such a joke. “Will you marry me so we can date”?

He better do more than just disable his comments. I think he should move to another country. There are crazy fans/people out there. Jason was crucified after his little switcheroo. This is no different, imho. Arie is plain stupid if he went along with this, because I truly believe TPTB are behind all of this chaos.

Over the years I've heard so many stories about the c**p they pull that I seldom put anything past them. On the inaugural switheroo season (Jason's) I had two different sources - both trusted - independently tell me that the producers knew that Melissa wanted her "ex" BF to commit to her and yet they both said they failed to let Jason in on the "joke" instead IMO pushed him towards Melissa. It was a bit like "Go ahead into that lion's den - the lion isn't there so it's safe" knowing all along that the lion was not only there but hadn't been fed in two weeks and was really hungry.
So could they have messed with Arie this season. Did they -
That said there's another "similarity" that I don't know how or if it fits. On Jason's season they had DeAnna pay a visit to Jason when he was down to the final 2 and basically tell him she felt she took a risk picking Jesse and should have made the "safe choice" - implying that was Jason. I don't know if that influenced Jason or if it did - in what direction; it would depend I guess on what choice Jason believed would be safe. But I heard that DeAnna did not want to do that but she had to or breach her contract. Odd that they did that. Was that part of how they manipulated Jason?
So this season they have the ex BF (for 7 years!) of one of the two finalists visit the set and propose to that finalist - who turned him down. I have so many questions about that and so few answers. But 7 years is a very long time - especially compared to the roughly 70 hours the lead might spend with his F1 before making a decision - and that's less of a question than an observation. Did this influence Arie? Why did they wait until it was down to two?
What I do find suspicious, as I've mentioned before, during sleuthing it was unusual that a F1 would get the first 1:1 and the switch up with the F2 who just so happens to have the same epi date as another F1 (Sean's season).

There are unusual patterns this season for sure. There have been two breakups while the show is airing - and in each one the initial choice had their first 1-1 on Episode 2 - what are the odds of that???
