'Over the moon': Harry and Meghan welcome 'very healthy' baby boy'

Buckingham Palace said in a news release that the Duchess gave birth Monday at 5:26 a.m. in England. The baby weighed seven pounds, three ounces (3.2 kilograms).

“I’m so incredibly proud of my wife,” Prince Harry said. “As every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing. But this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon.”

I'm guessing Spencer is going to form part of the name.

So happy for them. Prince Harry seems over the moon in love with his son already.

His name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor!

At least it’s not Archibald.   I didn’t love Harry for a name when he was born but it really suits him so I’m sure Archie will be right for their sweet baby boy.

However, Harry is his nickname. His formal name is Henry.

I had to do some homework on the name because I didn't know!

The Queen's last name at birth was Windsor. She married Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten. The descendants of Queen Elizabeth take on the surname of Mountbatten-Windsor.

Now, to figure out where Harrison came from.  

He's adorable. I love the old fashion names. It's suits him already!

I also heard today on a somewhat nerdy podcast where the guy really knows his history that there was a cousin? with the Mountbatten surname that was killed in WW2 , he said assassinated by the IRA while serving. Kind of makes sense that Harry would honor a wartime relative given his own devotion to military service.
