I think so. He is a getting a lot of criticism for being boring but I sense the genuine also and I'd much prefer that than being smooth and saying everything perfectly.

Just like all the previous villains, Chelsea comes off great right off the bat. She's not wearing her bitchiness on her sleeve, so he won't see it for a while.
