I just watched it... well kind of, I fell asleep towards the end... I don’t know if it’s my cup of tea... it reminds me of big brother a lot... maybe it will get better with more ppl arriving as the current lot just bore me... we shall see - jmo

I watched the intros and match ups – imo Sophie was the best thing about it. Laughed with my daughter about Erin and Beauty and the Geek – it was our favourite show years ago. When the conversations started, I went and did my ironing. Probably not my cup of tea either.

OMG yes, I didn't even make the Erin connection but I loved Beauty and the Geek too (the makeover episodes were so good!)  

I'm watching the first ep now on 9Now.  It's just trash... exactly what I expected.    The cast are all pretty up themselves but hopefully I'll warm to someone soon - if I see real emotion/genuine relationships then I'll stay on board.  I'm enjoying the sassy narration (even though the guy seems like a poor man's Iain Stirling).  Hoping some decent intruders come in soon.

It gets better after about a week. @Bobette. After some recoupling happens and the drama/feelings starts. I usually like to find a couple to root for.

I remember when Nathan first came on the UK one and he picked his girl I said to myself after a few days they are perfect for each other. They are married now ( I'm pretty sure) with a child. They were such a dorky/cute couple that they matched perfectly.

Most of the girls are so shallow this season it will be hard to get behind any of them, but I'm gonna try watching it for the first week at least. I'm a people watcher. lololol

At the end of the last UK season they had a montage of contestants doing that.  They must have some BIG bugs in Spain!

@LoveDovez, yes I agree re: Cara & Nathan - I don't think many other people would put up with him.    Camilla and Jamie are still together too which surprises and delights me in equal amounts.  The geeky girl gets the hunky underwear model - that's quality TV, IMO!  I think Dom and Jess are still together too (possibly married?).  Sad about Marcel & Gabby breaking up just recently - I liked them together.  Hope we see some connections like that which go the distance on the AU show.

ETA:  ITV have just announced the 2018 UK show starts next week (June 4th).  I wonder if they might have any kind of cross-over events/contestant swapsies since the villas are both in Majorca?  Too good an opportunity to miss, surely?!

Nice pickup!  I'm enjoying the show - I like the 24/7 filming aspect and watching how other people negotiate relationships.  Let's hope the UK boys go down better on LI than the American boys did on BiP.

Me too.  I think the girls are going to go nuts over their "celebrity status" - they're LI Royalty after all - but neither of them are the tradie/blokey type most of them have said they usually go for, so it will be interesting to see if they change their tune.

@Bobette do you watch Love in the countryside aka Farmer wants a wife? It's been fairly good so far. OMO.
