Tia Booth @tiarachel91
What an experience. I’m forever grateful for @BachelorABC for this opportunity to learn so much about myself and grow as a person. I’m thankful for @ariejr for showing me it is ok to fall in love, even if it results in heartbreak. What a beautiful chapter of life

Yes they are “doctors”, though none of the ones who I went to school with or went to as a patient ever went by Dr. Of course the majority of PhDs don’t go by Dr. and will tell you to just call them by their first name if they do.
We used to joke a PhD only goes by Dr. when teaching or dealing with MDs.
Yeah, I've never heard a DPT refer to themselves as Dr.
Tia lists herself as "Doctor" on her IG (in the spot where people state their occupation/etc)

@AllAboutLove Well that is special. Guess I have met my first PT who wants to be called doctor.

And I thought it was hideous. Actually, I wasn't really impressed by any of the dresses.
You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.

When my kids were in college they, and their friends, always used to laugh about their Professors and the titles.
First day of a new semester they would always talk about how the teacher would come in announcing how they were expected to be addressed by the students.
Ninety-nine percent of the time it was...I am not Mr/Mrs...I am not Professor...you will address me as Doctor whatever...they were all pretentious about it.
My daughters inlaws are both doctors and you would never know it. Outside of work they go by Mr/Mrs, their checks don't have Dr in front of their names, and none of their mail comes addressed with Dr.

@XQZME I know someone quite well that insisted they have their name printed as Dr.(phd) and Mrs. ___________ on their son's wedding invitation. He introduces himself this way, also. SMH

Funny, I did work with one guy who had Dr. on all his credit cards (for his PhD). We all laughed at him. I work with lots and lots of PhDs and none of us go by doctor. Ever. I have told one MD to call me Dr, but he was such an annoying jerk who talked down to me like I was an idiot, that I told him he could call me Dr. not Mrs, which in my case is especially true as I kept my own last name.
I don’t foresee ever doing it again.

@stuckinsc ...sometimes you just have to say f-it in situations like that, .
When my daughter was designing her wedding invitations, she was married last spring, she originally had the header template as Maj Gen and Mrs. ___ and Drs ___ and ___. We all shot that down instantly and said the invitations will be titled as Mr and Mrs ___ for both sets of parents.

@XQZME That is awesome. We do call the Admirals and Generals around here by rank, until they too ask us to just call them by first name.

@stuckinsc ...my husband was the same way before he retired. His philosophy was, my rank is my job, not who I am as a person.
When we got married (hubby was a Capt.), the first thing he told me was to never wear his rank. He couldn't stand the wives who threw around their husbands rank and expected special treatment.
