Re: Bachelorette Australia - Sophie Monk - Season 3 - *NO SPOILERS* - *SLEUTHING* Discussion*
We are back. Osher comes in and says everyone is going on the group date.
In comes Sophie in overalls and tells them she is looking for a real man....who can fix things....change tires, mend fences. Winner gets time with Sophie.
They have to plank on elbows....the first four out don't even compete. Sam out first...and Mac takes the whole thing....lasted over 7 minutes. Blake was second.
First challenge. Tire changing. Tall guys vs short guys.
James rocked the first tire.
Jarrod is being called desperado, but when he Jarrod has his turn, he is just ripping through it.

Ryan is on one side and Jarrod on other. Short guys ahead, but Jarrod is going at it. Short guys win, but Jarrod won't stop. Like a scene from Robocop. Blake was actually quite funny making fun of Jarrod.
Jarrod is just getting such a desperate edit.
Next challenge building a flat pack...think IKEA. Mac/James old guys team vs Ryan/Harry young guys
They are taking over an hour. Sophie brings out drinks. Ryan's team makes a big mistake and the old guys pull ahead. Seriously, I could do this way faster than these guys. I rock IKEA.
Ryan is getting frustrated and pounding in the drawers. Sophie notices he is cranky when he doesn't win.
Last challenge...James vs Mac....building a fire....Survivor style.

They have to start the fire using flint and burn through the rope and lift up the heart.
James starts his fire in two strokes and it is burning fast and Mac hasn't even got a spark. James is the real man!!!:
Off they go and she is cold and he quips "I'll build you a fire". They are talking about their lives and he is asking her questions about her career. She says he is a bit old fashioned and sweet and whips out the rose. She thinks he has everything and asks if he has any flaws? Does he dress like a woman at night? James laughs and says "No, that is Jarrod."
James feels the spark, but doesn't want to count his chickens. Little kiss. Cute, but not sure this is enough for the win.

I just don't think Jarrod is even F3 anymore. His desperate edit every episode is too much.

We are half way through the show and no single date or intruders.
Back at the mansion, Sam is whining about his single date....double delight. Now the other guys are making fun of him....and here comes Sophie.
They ask her what she is doing here and she says she is here to ask Sam to for a date. He thinks his date is special because it is different that she came to get him. She asks if he is ready and the others make fun of his hair.
She has a retro of their cute meeting, but how he lost her on the first group date when he was talking about her boobs. She wants to see if there is more behind the bravado.
She drives and off they go. He is doing a Tom Cruise impression. He wants to know what they are doing?
They come to some kitchen and they are going to make her favourite dessert....red velvet cupcakes.
He is nervous. Trying to be funny. Neither of them know what they are doing. Way too much red food colouring. Amazingly enough, two perfect trays are pulled out of the oven....ones that someone else made.
They are chatting about their single life and how happy they are as singles but want someone. They frost the cupcakes and then then head to the couch and mix cocktails and chat. She asks him what he brings to the relationship....he says magic dust? I assume he means he tries to make people happy. He talks about using his sense of humour as an ice breaker. This isn't a bad date, but I don't see any spark. He gets a peck on the check and the rose.
He wasn't as annoying when he was on his date, but he is not F1 material....and that hair.

Where are those intruders? Was it daytime when they arrived in the promos? I didn't see them.

Cocktail party at the mansion.
Talking about Sam who comes back walking with Sophie.
Everyone looks at Jarrod to see his reaction to the rose Sam has.
She is chatting with Apollo and he gives her his jacket and then he does some magic tricks with a fork. He is cute but not much there. She says if he can turn water into wine she will marry him. He is telling her how doing magic can make people smile. They are having a nice chat.
Next we see Jarrod with two pots. One with his name and one with hers. They will grow something together. She says she killed a cactus.
The other guys are wondering where he is getting these ideas and the props.
He wants to see them growing something together, because this is what he does at the vineyard. He gets a hug. Hmmmm....me thinks she is losing interest fast and may be getting the idea that he is a stage five clinger.
